Not overly impressed. Food was fine with nothing outstanding. Mixing vegetarian and non vegetarian on the same platter was a problem. The service was at best ok and there was no explanation of how it worked.

We were in the area and we were looking for a place to have dinner. We never had Ethiopian food before. The place is nice, quiet and kind of romantic I could say. The food and service were good. The only thing is that the food was a bit more spicy than they told us it would be.

We dine there with my wife, overall people pay for the M street location. The food is quite spicy, even dishes which are not supposed to be. Not very tasty, actually everything tastes the same: beef, shrimps etc... because of strong sauces. The personnel is nice. The price is high for what one gets.

I loved this place but the short ribs require wolf teeth to eat them. Either cook them tender or take off the menu. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Welcoming place with tough, stringy short ribs.

We had a really nice dinner at DAS. The service was warm and friendly and the food was great! We had a vegetarian sampler and a meat sampler. Both were served on injera bread with plenty of extra injera on the side. A fun night!

Took my girlfriend here for her first experience with Ethiopian cuisine. Located in an elegant townhouse with with tablecloths on the tables, it was a very classy and accessible intro to Ethiopian. Get the sample platter for a taste of everything. Remember not to fill up on injera!

My wife and I did a trip to DC this weekend for our anniversary and decided to go different for each meal. Sunday night we took the metro to Foggy Bottom and walked (in the wrong direction first) to the restaurant. A good 10 minutes when in the right direction. We used Open Table and we were even 5 mins... More

DAS has been a family favorite for years! Always reliably delicious with a few twists here and there to keep the tastes fresh. Great location with fun people watching for lunch or dinner. Grab a drink at the Four Seasons right across the street after dinner. Always delicious and always a pleasant dining experience. We usually order the combo plates... More

I loved this Ethiopian restaurant so much. The food was delicious and the place was neat. Price was a little high, but the food and the neatness of the restaurant was worth..
