Situated v centrally- Service was good. Whilst the Resturant calls itself French- there are a few French dishes on the menu (with an American twist) however you will also find burgers and spaghetti bolognese- so not entirely French- nice enough food though..

My first time during Restaurant Week February 2017. I ordered the famous fried chicken which was delicious. Also had a superb wine that I am still buying for home consumption: Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis 2015.

Start with the cheese puffs and bacon onion tart, get the fried chicken for the main and end with celebration cake (no need for a reason). I must add that the french fries, pork cheeks and duck leg confit were excellent as well. Staff was...More

We had a great lunch at Central last Friday. The onion soup was comparable to my favorites in Paris, but tasted lighter. The waiter explained that the chef uses miso as base. The goat cheese salad was a work of art with chèvre rolled into...More

I’ve been to Central a few times, and lately the service has kind of dropped off. For what you get, this is an expensive lunch or dinner, and it mainly caters to tourists and business lunch people. This is more American fare than any type...More

This is one of my favorite places in Washington, and also one of the most annoying. For Sunday Brunch, they seem to abandon their other high standard of cuisine for some multi-cultural nonsense that is neither French nor American. One perfect example is the Chicken...More

Always wonderful, Central delivers fine dining alternatives, creatively raising comfort foods to the level of an art form. On our visit, the Ahi Tuna Carpaccio with mango and avocado was delicious as a starter, as was the Sauteed Calamari with spicy tomato sauce. The Sautéed...More

Good food here, had the aged beef and it came out great. Good wine, beer and cocktail selection also.

Central Michel Richard is a great place for weekend brunch. From shrimp and grits to chicken and waffles it’s a culinary treat. Eggs Benedict is my favorite. The fixed price brunch is a good deal. If you aren’t sure go for the hazelnut chocolate bar.
