This Firehook used to be delicious and worthwhile. There was a fire in the restaurant above this Firehook, so they closed for three months. Upon reopening, the quality of the products (especially the coffee) was much lower. I have gotten coffee two times here since it reopened. Once, the coffee was unbelievably weak. The second time, the coffee was burned.... More

I love Firehook. The food and the drinks are delicious. The coffee is so good I don't need to put sugar in it. be sure to grab a massive cookie (great for sharing) or brownie! Whenever I'm in town doing work at the Library of Congress, I always make a point of stopping here

We always split a muffin and some coffee and get work done here on the weekends. A great place for kicking back on a Sunday afternoon.

Popped in for doughnuts but not something they make. Had aforementioned cookie and slice of pecan pie - both delicious. Well worth a visit.

If it meant I could be close to this place then I need to give ole Hillary and Donald a run for their money! This place was amazing! Great bakery and breakfast food! Nice folks at the counter, very helpful and patient while we scoured the menu. Nice place and I would highly recommend.

Stopped in for a quick treat. Service was friendly and quick and the cookies were delicious! We had a lemon cookie and a chocolate espresso cookie. Very tasty and VERY reasonable prices. Best deal I found the whole week I was in DC! Make sure to stop in for a treat, coffee, or light lunch.

Feeling a little hungry after the Library of Congress visit we decided to give the Firehook Bakery a try. Siri led us there. It was pouring rain so a hot cup of coffee seemed in order. We ordered the coffee but decided to also get a half of a panini, soup and of course a giant cookie. The soup and... More

Had the lunch special with 1/2 sandwich and a salad. Very good. But the big hit of the day was the President cookie. Went back a second day just for the cookie.
