Love my coffee in a real cup and this place does it right. Piping hot, friendly staff, and a delicious spinach and mushroom quiche. Nice relaxing mid morning breakfast with tables so I could journal and think.

We stopped here for breakfast before our early morning tour at the White House, which is about a 10 minute walk. The pastries are fresh, tasty, and inexpensive; the service friendly and quick; and the ambience relaxed and inviting.

Stop here on the way to tour White House and they had very good and large croissants and coffee. Staff was nice and furniture was....historic.

Stopped by here for lunch on the go. The staff was friendly, service was fast, the sandwich was good, and the soup was delicious. Found a quiet table to do some work and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

I stumbled across this place when I got lost and I think it's great. Tasty croissants and coffee. Plus you don't feel like you're being herded into a cattle truck like in Starbucks. Have already been twice and will probably go back tomorrow!

This is a chain and some or all of the food may be prepped offsite. They have great bread, cookies, cakes, croissants, etc. and also sell salads and sandwiches to go.The K Street store has been rearranged to drive all business to one counter and that can be chaotic. Ask for a presidential dreams cookie.

I don't understand why people shop at this bakery. Everything looks great but nothing tastes great, and the prices are very high. I prefer the bakery at Safeway for half the price!

We were staying in a vacation rental two blocks from the Firehook Bakery and visited the bakery four times during our stay. Besides delicious baked goods and coffee, the bakery also has already-prepared sandwiches and salads. One evening when we were too tired after site seeing, we stopped and picked up dinner on our way home. Very convenient! We also... More

We ate here on a few occasions, the breakfasts, pastries and cookies were absolutely delicious. The staff of the establishment are very friendly and polite. Coffee is one of the best I have tasted. I would definitely recommend.
