Took a party of 7 for a family birthday celebration. Had a reservation for 7pm. Slight delay in getting seated, but the experience made the short wait worthwhile! We started with Oyamel Magaritas - I will just say these are spectacular and a must try...More

On a recent trip to Washington we met another couple at Oyamel. The restaurant is extremely busy and very loud. We started with the Guacamole, which was extremely fresh, as it is made right on the spot. My wife had a ceviche dish, which she...More

Definitely get the guacamole! The salsa they serve for free is divine. Good drink menu, busy environment. Ask the server for top menus picks, otherwise it is a little overwhelming. Quite tasty. Good service.

The service was great! My husband loved the ceviche and all of the tacos. They were all too spicy for me, but were perfect for him! The staff was very nice.

Had a great brunch here. The guac is superb, and they were nicely accommodating and brought me a plate of veggies to dip (I don't do chips). Ceviche, albondigas, huevos rancheros all excellent. Good considerate service.

We had at this lovely place. They serve small portions and you should at least order 3 for 2 people. Real delicacy, refined taste, fresh ingredients and an amazing guacamole made to order. Mexican beers, cocktails on top of that are making your lunch a...More

Oyamel combines Mexico's rich regional diversity with the modern urban atmosphere of Mexico City. The liveliness of the dining room is matched by the creativity of the menu and cocktail list, featuring antojitos-Mexican small plates-ceviches and tacos, plus unique margaritas, and an impressive array of wines and tequilas. Originally opened in 2004 in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, Oyamel moved to its current home in the Penn Quarter in March of 2007.
