Guacamole was awesome hands down. It is a little pricey but worth every penny. Tacos we're no point. Service was too. Only thing that didn't hit the mark is the serving size. Recommend this place if you want quality over quantity.

This place isn't far from the National Gallery of Art and so we stopped there for an early lunch with no reservation, on a Saturday. The decor is interesting, bright and cheery. We had a booth in the window that was really comfy. There were...More

Hubby and I grabbed a quick lunch here after visiting the National Archives. Let me preface this by saying we are from the south, close to Texas, so we know good Mexican and Tex-Mex. This place was awesome! The salsa and chips were so good....More

Found this spot during a walkabout after the Museums on the National Mall. Cool vibe, great drinks. Food was very tasty, creative spins on some traditional fare. We loved it so much, we stopped back the next night, too. Fantastico!

We had the guacamole and two of their margarita’s with salt foam plus a couple of their Ceviche’s for lunch. It was all great. We will be back.

Took the entire family her (3 adults and 2 kids) and had a wonderful meal. Reservations recommended. It's a tapas-style place, so dishes aren't huge, but we ordered 13 different dishes, some beer, wine and soft drinks, and total was just under $200 (with tax,...More

The service is ok. The good way expensive and more hype and less substance. The drinks over the top. Overall the location is great though the place is way expensive for what it delivers in terms of food and service

Went for a business dinner . They served a four course meal with a fixed menu . They had vegetarian and non-vegetarian options And serve freshly prepared Guacamole with their dishes. Excellent food 👍.

Yes! We usually get 4 dishes between us. The vegies and salads are bigger than meat dishes. But do get tge fresh guacamole!

Oyamel combines Mexico's rich regional diversity with the modern urban atmosphere of Mexico City. The liveliness of the dining room is matched by the creativity of the menu and cocktail list, featuring antojitos-Mexican small plates-ceviches and tacos, plus unique margaritas, and an impressive array of wines and tequilas. Originally opened in 2004 in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, Oyamel moved to its current home in the Penn Quarter in March of 2007.
