Pete's is my favorite pizza place in DC, but Comet is good too. Personal-sized pizzas and decent quality toppings. Hipster décor. Staff knows what they are doing too.

Get there early the place fills up around traditional meal times. Weekends the joint is full of Birthday parties, but still room for couples and some singles at the bar. Good selection of beers and wines, The usual cocktails, nothing out of the ordinary. The pizza is very good, the chicken wings I had were so-so. A little soggy for... More

Those who called the interior "rundown" didn't get it. The interior is intentionally designed to look like an abandoned building, with a hole in the ceiling (actually a skylight), drooping bits of insulation, and seemingly fire-scorched walls. Front section, with high ceiling, is a bit noisy. Back area, past the bar and near the ping pong tables, is more peaceful.... More

We came to support Comet Ping Pong after the shooting, but were more than pleasantly surprised that it is a great pizza place! I'm from NYC, so I know pizza. We had the "Steel Wills" pizza and lentil salad -- both terrific. And it's such a fun place. Our server was competent, friendly and accommodating. A perfect place for a... More

Run down interior, but the service, pizza and beer selection are fantastic. The crowds are large and the door is kept open, so you'll best sit toward the back or keep your coat on. A lot of history here and the food is great.

Comet is one of the neighborhood gems in the 5000 block of Connecticut Ave. NW. It is popular with all ages and why not? It has very good pizza. We usually order the Smoky, the Stanley or the Yalie. Sometimes we order the wings and other things and skip the pizza. They offer a very good selection of beers -... More

Comet Ping Pong is a great, fun, family kind of place. Pizza is fantastic, and you gotta try the out of this world wings. Nice, casual atmosphere, very friendly staff. Don't hesitate to stop in while in D.C. It is well worth it. Highly recommend!

Good pizza and other food for kids and the entire family. Pleasant atmosphere. Try any kind of pizza and side dishes and play some ping pong.

A beautiful fall Saturday makes for great pizza and wine outdoors on the patio enjoying the ambiance of the D.C. suburbs. We ejoyed two "Smokey" pizzas and a meatball version. Delicious.
