The live entertainment added to the ambiance of this place. The food was good and the service was ok - a typical touristy place. It was fun just looking around at all of the things on the walls & ceiling - especially all of the boots on the ceiling - I guess they belonged to dead cowboys?

My sister in-law was recommended this place as well as going through the town. Loved the town however recommended were the chicken wings and apple dumpling. 3 out of the four of us had the chicken wings. Tasty but small. There were more than the dozen that was stated on the menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Was served... More

Visiting snowbird family members in Mesa, we came out to this fun Goldfield historic site, and had lunch at the saloon. The atmosphere was fun, and the food was just ok, but our service was very poor. I was disappointed to learn, after my husband paid the bill for our party of 7, that they slapped on an automatic gratuity... More

This has been a favourite for us for a number of years. The staff is friendly, the food is good and so are the drinks. The ambience is definitely "Ghost Town" and that is in fact what Goldfield is. And the Mammoth Steak house is part of it. It is rustic but then, remember where you are, enjoy!!!

The first time we went, a year ago, the steak wasn't very tender. This time it was much better quality meat and cooked to our specifications. Sides still are just OK. Potato skins appetizer and jalapeño poppers were good and the salsa was very tasty. Best reason to go is the view of Superstition Mountain from the porch!

My husband and family has been here to this restaurant 2 times. Both times were very disappointing. The food is expensive and not very good. Beautiful atmosphere though. Our waitress didn't even fill up our drinks. I love the ghost town but this restaurant left something to de desired

We had lunch following my fathers memorial service at Church on the Mount. My mother invited all who attended the service (over 100) to have a meal. They have a nice area upstairs for large groups. The view of the mountains spectacular. Considering the large group, the service was very fast, food was hot and very good. At my table... More

Our last day in Apache Junction and we chose the ghost town for our lunch. Sitting on the deck gives you a fabulous view of the Superstition mountain with a touch of Arizona sunshine. We had chicken quesadillas and fish and fries. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Love having some of the staff dressed as characters from the old... More

We stopped into the Mammoth Steakhouse and Saloon for a couple of drinks. The atmosphere inside the saloon is interesting. Some of the waitresses were dressed in period costumes. The service was good. The chips and salsa were also good.
