We went when it first opened on a Sunday, and I am not sure if they were already up to speed yet. Our first food was cold, but they were kind and replaced it. There was a patron that was fighting with the staff there, and that was kind of hectic to witness. When the guy threatened to come back with his friend and kill the guy working, I was a bit worried. We did take our food to go, but they did have a patio to eat on. (COVID times)

Found it by accident, service was super attentive and quick, the owner helped us choose from the big menu and was extremely nice and hospitable. The portions were huge, delicious and contained fresh and high quality ingredients. We also had great beers, tasty dessert and tea, all for a very reasonable price. Greatly recommend this hidden gem!

Went for an early dinner with my husband. Service was great and our server was so attentive and friendly. I had the Zarapes meal and my husband has chili Colorado which was a meal also. Both came with beans and rice, mu husband had albondigas soup and I had a salad. He said his soup and meal were very good and I can say mine was wonderful and well. I also have to commend them for not drenching the food in cheese so much so that you cant find what you're eating (happens often with Mexican food). We also had one cocktail each and my husband had some flan. The only thing my husband said he would change was to make his chili Colorado spicier, however that is a matter of taste only as not everyone likes too much spice. We really, really enjoyed this meal and definitely be returning. Enjoy!

Looks a little strange from the outside, but really cosy and nice inside. All the traditional mexican food and a few specials on the menu. All food was really good. Full bar, with a beer selection and some wines. We really liked it, a good stop on the road to LA or from LA.

We found this place by accident on Mothers Day and it was absolutely perfect. When we walked in I was greeted with a Mothers Day rose. They served a brunch buffet that included every dish you could think of. The Menudo was one of the best I've ever had. There were chili relanos, chile verde, the best tamales and enchiladas. In addition a great fruit platter and Memosas. What more could a Mother ask for.

Went to Don Chato and ordered some food not knowing what to expect and everything was delicious. I ordered a grilled chicken taco and the flavoring on the chicken was fantastic. Our server was super fantastic as well and he went above and beyond and we really appreciated it so we will be back.

Friendliest wait staff ever. Huge amount of well prepared food. Looked like lots of locals eat there. Lavish decor and festive. Stained glass windows worth the trip.

I love this place! When I'm on Acton, I look forward to visiting this place after a hard day's work. Happy Hour is always fabulous. It's always dark in here and in the late afternoon they light it up in red glass candlelight. There are red Spanish style red lanterns as well and hand painted tropical murals on the walls. There is some gorgeous stained glass windows which keep it dark. This place could draw in the strongest loa energy on the planet and it has a 70's "Conquistador"/ "N.I.B" vibe to take you back into time. They make a great Salty Dog with pink grapefruit juice and it is rimmed in quality liquor and rock salt. The bar offers really good Mexican appetizers, complimentary with a beverage purchase. The appetizers change daily yet notable to mention are enchalatis, burritos, beans and shredded cheese with hard shell tortillas and pico de gallo. They have nice bathrooms with handpainted sinks and hot running water. The service is fast, efficient, and the help yourself appetizer bar satisfies your hungry appetite with instant gratification. What else more could a person ask for? Reasonably priced and a great bang for your buck!

There’s always a party atmosphere here, with traditional Mexican food, courteous servers and the best Margaritas in town.

Enjoyed dinner here as we are staying at a local RV park and it was close by. Shrimp burrito was very good and the chimichanga was just as tasty. Restaurant was clean, staff was nice, our server wasn't the best. Meal arrived hot but server didn't bother to check on us and another server had to find our ticket when we were ready to leave. Suppose to be happy hour when we were there but didn't see, or were offered any drinks specials.

The drinks are always tasty & good delivered with excellent service. The food is plentiful & tasty. A great place to stop from the SFV traveling up north to the mountains or on your way to Las Vegas.
