We went for brunch.....no need to order 2 pancakes...one will feed 3!! Mimosas were awesome. Bacon was great and service was wonderful. We are watching the news with fingers crossed hoping the fires spare this gem of a place to eat.

Love the buzz about this place. Always busy and fun to people watch here. Been here 3 times and have watched it evolve. Prices go up, and quality and service goes down. It must be tough to be in this industry. We will keep looking...More

Try this restaurant.as a matter of fact, put it on your to do list for your next trip to the LA area. Great wine selections, many local. We had the steamers for an appetizer and a wonderful steak for the main course. Very small venue....More

This place used to be a great, hidden gem -- but no longer. Prices have really gone up and food quality has really gone down: our last steak was filled with gristle, so that will be our last visit there.

Made a reservation based on recommendation. There is seating for dinner at 5:00, 6:30 and 8:30. We arrived for the 6:30 reservation and were immediately seated at in a booth with a wooden table that can seat 8 people in the bar area. It was...More

This place is a treasure tucked away in the mountains. Felt like stepping into a set of a Western movie. It was such a small place that reservations is a must. I had the chicken sandwich with potato salad on the side. The salad was...More

Now operated by the son of the founders and somewhat re-vamped to appeal to the "yuppie" generation this tucked away treasure is well worth visiting. Great food. Wonderful venue. Interesting drive. And, often great service!! Recommend highly!

Great food, huge portions. Everything looked delicious, we had lamb chops and the chicken pot pie. Both were outstanding. Truly upset to be unable to fit dessert.

The Old Place is destination dining. Always packed (reservations highly recommended) we often try and get there early and put our name on the wait list for bar seating and head next door to the Cornell tasting room and wait for them to call us...More

Sorry I did not answer sooner--was out of the country with poor internet. Yes you absolutely need reservations for breakfast! Otherwise expect to wait more than an hour (if you are lucky) to get a table.

They do--but it is not super powerful. Plus the restaurant is small so it can get a bit hotter than some places. Unless you are very bothered by the heat, I would say the unique aspects of this great little restaurant far... More

Yes, they actually have a private room. It's called the "mail" room. I don't know how many it holds. The winery, Cornell Wines, which is next store will do private parties. The Old Place will bring the food over. Good... More
