Al's Burgers has been around forever. Unchanged and unimproved. The food is average the dining area is a monument to mid century mismatched minimalism. There are some very loyal fans but there really is not much to make this a special dining experience. The prices are fair and the staff is pleasant, and maybe that should be good enough

Had the one third burger which was freshly cooked. The onion rings were some of the best I have ever tasted with the right mix of batter and onion. The strawberry milkshake was very fruity and quite thick. Good value.

I enjoy the old fashioned burgers that they make with good beef, onions, lettuce, tomato and choice of extras. I always order their very good onion rings which are always crunchy and hot. Service is efficient and friendly. They are consistent so I am never disappointed.

My last time here was over 20 years ago. It was great to be back for a late lunch today. I had a hot dog, and my friends had burgers. The shakes and fries are great also. This is not and inexpensive place. The prices kind of sneak up on you, but the food is still worth it.

I often get a burger here when I pick up my dog from the groomer down the street. Order by phone ahead of time. I like the bacon mushroom burger without cheese since I don't like American cheese. The onions rings are the best that I have found anywhere and consistently crunchy and tasty. A bit pricey for a burger.... More

Our family enjoyed the burgers, fries and malt shakes. Very friendly staff and service. Outside patio is a bonus especially with the nice California weather

Before I tell you a place to go for Bay Area Hamburgers, I must explain the concept to you. WHAT is a HAMBURGER? According to the publication NORTH KOREA TODAY, the former Dear leader, Kim Jong il invented the 'hamburger' in 1983. Let McDonalds & Carls Jr dispute this claim---they're only doing so because they fear North Korea will sell... More

So thrilled to have found a good small burger option. It's just like the big cheeseburger except smaller so I can eat the whole thing without feeling too stuffed. Good spot.

Al's burgers are very good, simple, old-school fare. Kind of the antithesis of Elevation 66 down the street, but each have their place.

Looking for a fast meal that isn't made entirely of ground corn, fillers and chemicals? Look no further! My family swears by the burgers or cheeseburgers that you can see being cooked on the grill right in front of you. My favorite is the chicken burger which is a plump grilled chicken breast served with burger fixings along with a... More
