Walk thru the door to another continent! Enter to a lavish living room with views to a rich cultural heritage! We were treated to mama's home cooking, and she doesn't skimp on the portions. Everything was great and extremely reasonable.

We are contemplating a trip to Morocco and have been emailing back and forth with some friends who recently went there and who have been experimenting with Moroccan cooking. So, with that on our mind, we had to try some Moroccan food, something we've not experienced before. Mamounia had the best reviews for Moroccan food in the Los Angeles area.... More

Looking for something a little different? We wanted to have something other than Mexican or Cheesecake Factory. Try the lamb dishes. Very flavorful. Mine had, believe it or not, prunes with a wonderful sauce. The hot mint tea was very aromatic. Our waiter was very friendly and confident of his chef's abilities. Go early because later we heard the dancers were... More

The decor was the first thing that wowed me when I walked into this place from Katella near Euclid. Nothing like the feel of Katella and Euclid! Then the lovely, gracious server (wife of the owner/cook) explained how the menu worked. As a vegetarian, I had a small variety of choices and they are all wonderful! I've been back again... More

Loved the soup. Had the 5-course meal. Couldn't finish all of my lamb. Bread was great with the meal. Loved the hospitality of the restaurant. Felt completely at home.

Appetizers were great, dinners were okay, if you like meat this is the place to go. Not a lot of variety, and not a lot of veggie choices.

My friend and I were craving some good home cooked Moroccan couscous. Although we are from the region and know how to cook it neither of us had the time to cook it and wanted it right away. We are picky eaters but we decided give Mamounia a try. Once you step in the restaurant, you feel that you are... More
