Dined to go, a carne asada burrito, carnitas burrito, and enchilada. Meats were just okay, hot, fair portioned, order was wrong. Carnitas were in large chunks, good flavor, a little dry. Carne Asada was very average and a little bland. Enchilada was good, and the guacamole was fantastic. We'd try it again if we ate at the restaurant.

Just had lunch there for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed my chile relleno! Very authentic! Cute place, but parking can be a challenge since it's in Old Town Auburn. Will definitely return.

My wife and I ate there today based on a friend's recommendation. We ordered margaritas, which tasted like a standard mix in a bottle, and were served within 4-5 minutes of ordering, a real giveaway. I ordered a 3 item combination which tasted as though it came from a frozen package. My wife ordered a chimichanga, which she said tasted... More

My husband and I tried this restaurant today. Reading all the reviews on this place, not good, we decided today to have lunch. This restaurant is horrible. Our waitress was not friendly, hardly said a word. We ordered two lunch specials, I had a enchilada my husband ordered chimichanga. The beans were watered down, rice had good flavor, my enchilada... I have tasted my share of bad Mexican food, but this was by far the worst! I ordered the taquitos, but they were made with flour tortillas, so that would make them flautas people! My husband ordered the chicken mole', which had absolutely no flavor and a friend ordered the chili colorado, that was just bad. The waitress was slow... More

I was looking for a good Margarita, so we thought we'd try Tio Pepe for dinner. The Margarita would have been excellent - except it was very watered down. Tip: If you go, get your drink on the rocks, not blended. We shared the Carnitas Tacos. The food definitely was under seasoned. The service was great - very pleasant and... More

This resturant is in charming Old town Auburn right of the freeway. The lunch specials are good and the tamale excellent, with large chunks of carnitas in side. They have redown the [atio and it's now more secluded with nice iron work and pavers. They have a full bar as well

A local suggested Tio Pepe. We had lunch and it was tasty. The service was prompt. It is not a wow...but it is worth going.

Food is great, service is hit and miss, but it's part of the ambiance, I guess. Been going here for years and it's a favorite of ours.

Good location, good food, clean atmosphere and excellent food choices. Have eaten here several times and always consistent. Public parking in rear.
