I came here as it was advertised as the best sushi restaurant in Aspen. The food is bad quality. They should call it american fast sushi. The crowd and noise in restaurant is terrible. Very disapointing.

I'd heard some people say that they only eat at Matsu when they're in Aspen, and I can see why! We came here for a late dinner (around 9 or 10) and the downstairs lounge was packed. Always a good sign in a town where...More

My wife and I had a great dinner. The Japanese eggplant with miso sauce was delicious - we ordered a second plate of it. Vegetable tempura was very good - Very light batter. Tamago was also good. Excellent service. Busy restaurant .

Matsuhisa offers high quality Japanese cuisine at an affordable price. We especially enjoyed the tempura and the Atom Roll (not on the menu but available if you ask). The service was attentive but not overbearing.

Been a Nobu MATSUHISA fan for decades (LA, NY...). Always impressed by the fine quality of the fish and impressive offerings. Sliced Yellowtail with Jalepeño, Monkfish Liver Pâté, etc. The Aspen Edition, although locally popular, left me desiring higher quality, better portions, and feeling the...More

We lucked out and were able to get an outside table on a beautiful evening. It's a good place to watch people go by. The sushi was excellent and the service was good. They also had a nice wine list. We would definitely return.

Matsuhisa was everything I, my wife and our 4 "adult" children had anticipated - except we didn't expect to be led downstairs into the basement to the dining room - and don't get me wrong, we were very pleased to be led down there. The...More

My friend who visits Aspen annually took us to Matsuhisa which he also visits annually and I plan to continue that tradition. It was amazing! We got a very expensive steak appetizer that we cooked on a hot stone, but was so juicy and flavorful!...More

Matsuhisa Aspen is nestled beneath a quaint victorian house in the mountain town of Aspen Colorado and features the cuisine of world renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Japanese-inspired seafood and sushi, as well as an ultra-hip scene and lively bar crowd can best describe Matsuhisa Aspen. We are a continuation of Matsuhisa L.A., Nobu New York, Nobu London and may more locations around the world.
