Kobe filet & ribeye were very good;ditto for the rack of lamb and halibut but lobster tail(s) seems to be not cooked all the way through or at least to our liking;sides were fine. The osyters rockefeler were good, same for the dessert. Liked the coffee(but took a whille to get the milk 'heated' as requested). Doesn't seem to have much... More

I was a men's trip to Aspen and the last dinner of the week. We decided to try Steakhouse 316. I have eaten at steakhouses across the country and am comfortable with this style of dining, (e.g., slabs of protein with simple but huge sides to share with the table, etc...). We began, as is appropriate, with martinis and oysters.... More

This restaurant probably doesn't seat more than 50 or 60 people at once, so reservations during peak season are an absolute must. The Upside to such a small venue is that the food (American Steakhouse) is not just great but would compete with many NYC or Chicago Steakhouses on Food quality. They really do take pride in the food. Service... More

Everything was wonderful during our recent visit. The restaurant was very, very busy but the service was still great. The wine list was extensive and the food was delicious. The restaurant is dark, cozy and romantic. There are some tables very close to others, so if privacy is needed, you may want to request in advance. Reservations were a must... More

We really battled to get a reservation for this popular spot and managed to get an early seating . The ambience is magnificent , the decor of rich reds with gold accents makes for a very cosy atmosphere . The restaurant is fairly small so be sure to make reservations. The service was excellent and the menu , though quite... More

If you are craving good red meat, we highly recommend this place. The menu is not inventive or creative, but it is solid, very consistent and meats are prepared quite well. On a cold winter night, a nice ribeye steak and a great Cab and you are all set. Staff is attentive and professional. Solid.

Steakhouse 316 is definitely tops for dinner in Aspen. My husband's NY Strip steak was great. He's a tough critic and he loved it. I was in heaven over their Knife & Fork Caesar, the Tuna Tartare, Lobster Butternut Squash Chowder and the Crab Cakes. We also love their Beef Carpaccio and Mussels and Frites. The atmosphere is softly lit... More

No doubt that 316 is near the top of the scale for aspen prices, but wow it'd be hard to imagine someone walking out either hungry or unhappy. All-ala carte menu and sides sized to be shared gives you plenty to eat with items of top quality, prepared perfectly, and served professionally. We were three couples, seated promptly, (although getting... More
