Boss Oyster has been our must-go place for many trips to St. George Island and Apalachicola. Sadly, I think that tradition has now ended. We ate early with only a few other people in the restaurant, so our issues can't be blamed on hurrying. We were promptly seated and our order (two entrees, one appetizer) was taken. The appetizer seemed... More

You will love Boss Oyster on the water in " Oyster City", Apalachicola Florida. This rustic/casual seafood spot has indoor seating with a view of Apalachicola bay, or outdoors right by the water. The selections go on and on, fried oysters (and other seafood) in baskets, on sandwiches, salads, steamed or baked oysters on the halfshell with numerous toppings to... More

We've been stopping here for years whenever we pass through and they always have great oysters, served many ways. Our favs are raw with a little hot sauce or baked with Parm cheese and horseradish on the side. We often share their seafood platter, there's a little bit of everything on it. We also like the fried oysters, red beans and... More

Visited two weeks ago with a party of 11. We called beforehand and were assured that it was fine. While the hostess was trying to accommodate us, another server/manager? started shouting at us across the restaurant that we would have to be split up into two tables unless we wanted to pay with less than 4 checks (the restaurant was... I have enjoyed oysters all over the US and Europe but have never seen them grilled in mud before! Seriously the grilled oysters had not been washed and were covered with mud from the bay. Maybe this is a local thing. At least they provided a rag and lots of paper towels but no crackers. The flavor of the oysters... More

Great raw oysters that were delicious and huge. Very slow service but the waitresses were so nice we forgave them for making us wait.

First timers here..most certainly will return..Four of us for lunch on a Friday, 4 different entree's and all were very good. Ordered a oyster tini...$6.00 for a below average cocktail. However, this was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.

Ever since I was at Boss Oysters a few years ago, I have been telling my wife how great the place is. We had just been vacationing in Panama City Beach and decided to drive the scenic route back to The Villages. The route took us through Apalichicola and my wife suggested stopping for lunch at the same restaurant. I... More

Boss Oyster has been the go-to seafood restaurant in Apalachicola for decades. The restaurant sits on the waters edge with a great view of boat traffic and birds. The restaurant may look a little dated and seedy but that's part of it's charm. The food and service are good and the atmosphere is great. I visit Boss Oyster every time... More
