Great lunch in a restaurant designed and decorated to take one back to early last century. Good menu and excellent service. Our server Skyler is on duty from 11-4 every day and is a great character and complements the settings with his old world charm. Worth stopping for a meal if on way through as we did.

On the recommendation of our innkeeper we ate at Mary Margaret's, where we had a lobster bisque that was the very best we have had in a very long time! The host dressed in tails and top hat and the waitresses wore cute hats...the place is decorated in Victoriana and has loads of charm. In addition to delightful surroundings, the... More

I had lunch here twice. First time, I stumbled across it by serendipity. The 2nd time, it was by choice, I took a rather long detour only to be able to eat here again. The food was outstanding, wonderful seafood bisque, and a very fine quiche. The bread pudding was superb. The fruit was fresh, the coffee was how is... More

I visited this cafe while staying at the Oak Park Inn, which I highly recommend, down the street. The historic downtown Arcadia is lined with antique shops and fun to explore. I had to wait an hour for a table, but they took my number and sent me out shopping until they called. The tea was delicious, the lunch was... More

We stopped in to this restaurant as my friend had eaten here years ago. Two small rooms with about 11 tables. Many antiques and lovely setting. Gentleman who greets you at the door is in black and white and spats from a time gone bye. We were fortunate as they only had 1 table left and it was about 11:15.... More

In the Tea Room category of dining this is magnificent. The community, filled with antique shops, is fortunate to have such high caliber service, food and setting as Mary Margaret's. We were spending the last 2 days of our Florida winter trip in Punta Gorda and were told by anther restaurant owner to look into Arcadia as a day trip.... More

We live in southeast Florida. Arcadia is not on our normal travel list. We have eaten here several times over the years and have like it. Coming back from Clearwater on a Tuesday, we decided to stop in Arcadia and stop at Mary Margaret's Tea Room. The street was undergoing some patch work and was closed to traffic, We parked... More

Had their special sandwich which includes a nice sleection of fruit on side...the strawbery crepe too...both were excellent...also a very generous glass of white wine...portions are very good...salads looked amazing too. Even better....I found the prices very reasonable...will definitely pay it another visit next year.

We stumbled upon this place while making a short visit to this city. Our lunch was wonderful....a terrfic array of sandwiches, soups, & entrees...or you could order a "tea luncheon". The decor was fabulous and the staff both friendly and unique....we were seated by a man in tails and a top hat!!!!!
