The Original Pancake House was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. Drawing upon their many years of experience in the culinary field, and their extensive working knowledge of authentic national and ethnic pancake recipes they were able to offer without compromise this unique and original menu which has gained national acclaim. Our recipes demand only the very finest of ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and our own recipe sourdough starter. Welcome to our house, we’re serving up the Next Best Thing to Breakfast in Bed!

The food, and of course, pancakes were amazing. Be prepared to face quite a long wait and for it to be very busy. I’d recommend coming earlier than you’re planning to. In an amazing area, right next to a PinkBerry.

Had the corned beef hash and home fries. Came with 2 eggs. It was ok. It was bland and the hash was unusual. Service was ok. Now the cook, very loud and played loud music.overall, would not recommend.

Great little pancake house...they have everything and can mix and match. It was, however, a little overpriced.

I go here as often as I possibly can. Everything is very good but their 49ers pancakes are excellent. Sure wish one would come to Pennsylvania.

This place is not modern or fancy, but it does offer traditional American breakfast dishes that remind me of my childhood. You feel like going back in time. Yesterday we had scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, bacon and sausage, English muffins, pancakes and waffles....More

Skip this roach infested dump and go to The Bake Shack. Better Pancakes, better service, better food in general
