This place came as a secret recommendation and boy oh boy are we happy we got a chance to catch a meal hear before we left. The curry lobster was incredible and they offer free rum punch when you get a dinner. The patio is very bare bones and up in the trees. We caught a very beautiful sunset through the silhouettes of the palm trees. It was a magical place. Highly recommend.

Upstairs restaurant in a residential area. Food is soooo good! Favourite place I ate all trip. I had the conch fritters and then coconut fish- which was snapper simmered with onions in coconut milk! Soo tasty. Husband ordered sabutes and porch chops- it was 2 big (but thin) porch chops that were sooo tender and a huge portion. Would suggest everyone visit.

The Little Kitchen was definitely the highlight of our dinning experiences in Caye Caulker. Located off a side street, you'll really feel like a native Islander eating here. The chef, affectionately known as Mama, serves up authentic Belizean dishes at very reasonable prices. Hit this place up early in your trip, because you'll want to go back. Make sure you get the phone number because Mama only opens up if she knows they'll be guests, which is awesome IMHO. Fun fact, we learned Mama has several children many of whom became chefs themselves.

Firstly, I'm no longer a tourist and have been in Belize, Caye Caulker for a number of years. We've been hearing good things from friends and acquaintances about Little Kitchen and decided to try it out. The restaurant is signposted from Back Street and located behind the fire station. There are a couple of flights of stairs up to the restaurant. The view from our dining table looked out to a tropical setting sun over the water with passing sailing boats. We ordered Belikin Beer and Stout while we pondered over the chalkboard menu. We ordered conch fritters and salbutes for a starters. Both were tasty and well presented. For our main course I ordered the grilled pork chop and my partner the fish cooked in coconut. Both were well cooked. The vegetables with mine were cooked to perfection and the pork very flavoursome . My partner thought the fish was great. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the bill, including six beers definitely not excessive and was good value for money. A good evening out.

This restaurant is a bit hard to find, as it is away from the busy area of Caye Caulker. It is well worth finding this hidden gem. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has an elevated position with great sunset views. They can provide mosquito coils if needed. We had the papaya juice and the Creole lobster. Both were delicious and great value. We highly recommend coming here and supporting this little locally owned business.

Stumbled on this place accidentally and boy am I glad I did! I sampled a couple dishes that my family ordered and the flavors were out of this world. The creole lobster and jerk conch were especially great. Can't stop thinking about it. We had 1 vegan and 1 vegetarian in our group and they were well taken care of as well.

Caye Caulker is the best of all islands and part of that is The Little Kitchen. It is a treat and experience. An adventure and a pleasure. If you don't enjoy The little Kitchen and Caye Caulker you can't be satisfied. This is the thing memories are made of.

This is Elba's Little Kitchen, one of the oldest operating authentic local kitchens un Caye Caulker owned and operated by a local family. Elba's is off the beaten path, and if you need fancy with high prices, Elba's probably isn't for you..if you want authentic Belizean cuisine with true Caye Caulker old school hospitality then you should give it a go. The Shrimp Curry and the Lobster Curry was outstanding at a very affordable price. Service and hospitality is the best on the island and the sunsets are beautiful.

This has been a island secret for a long time, not only s the food authentic and local, but this is the family that whose current generation now run many of the local bars and restaurants, so this is part of how it all began here. Its easy to find if you understand that it is just behind the fire station and down a little path (with signs) but it look like a home, because you walk up two floors to the place over the family home. Ask for directions if you are not sure all the locals know the place. This is NOT fast food, most dishes are cooked one at a time, so for big groups it can take a while. The seafood here is the best on the island, try a grilled whole fish.

We found one of the employees at the beach and he told us about the history of this place. We were very curious to try conch dishes and so we went there for dinner. We had conch fritters for appetizer and coconut curry conch and grilled chicken as mains. What an amazing restaurant! The staff made us feel very welcomed and the food and drinks were delicious. Very typical cuisine, with a good atmosphere. Would repeat to try all the options in the menu because has a great value for money.

Delicious food, great service and local prices. This little gem is tucked away on the sunset side of the island. The food is all freshly made and it feels like you have been invited into a local home for a cooked meal. Some of the best food we had on the island. Steven and his family are amazing! We highly recommend.

The friendliest people with the warmest smiles serve you. The Curry shrimp with rice, salad and pasta salad was exceptional. My husband had the garlic butter lobster which was phenomenal. Conch fritters were good. Long wait to get food, as they say "go slow" and it was worth every second. Seriously I was wiping the curry sauce off my plate with my finger as an alternative to licking it lol.

Wonderful restaurant and great prices. If you sit on the balcony, there's a beautiful view of the water and partial view of sunset. Excellent service and the food was delicious. My mother is a pretty picky eater but loved the fried chicken and thought that they had the best fries she had ever had! We tried to go back a second time during our stay but unfortunately, they were closed.

Just returned from a Thanksgiving Trip to Caye Caulker and made sure to have Thanksgiving dinner here - had been 6 years since our last trip to CC but was just as good as we remembered. The garlic butter lobster, conch fritters and drinks were all excellent... so good we went back on our last night in town to have dinner. The family who runs the restaurant are so kind and welcoming, I would go back just to talk to them.

Elba’s was great! Like other reviews mention, it can be hard to find. Follow the signs around the corner from the first sign you see and the blinking street light, and head up the stairs. It’s located on the top floor of the family’s home. Two cute children greeted us and reminded us it is cash only. We were sat right away by the kindest server and got fish palades, curry lobster and creole lobster. Both dishes came with rice and beans, cole slaw and pasta. The fish palades weren’t our favorite. It’s snapper inside of a fried crispy dough, sort of like a thinner empanada. It was just a little dry. The curry lobster was our favorite but the creole was also very good and had strong flavor. It overlooks the ocean and was a nice break from the busier restaurants up north. Highly recommend a stop here!
