Didn't check TripAdvisor till we returned and am surprised over the poor reviews, we had a totally different experience all 3 meals we had there as we kept coming back. We had to eat there as we saw the whole pig sitting on the grill waiting to be eaten, so we did. We had the roasted pork and a whole... More

We had there our first dinner in Caye Caulker, since we were attracted by the lights and the music coming out. Beside the extremely slow service (but go slow is the motto of the island) we had awful shrimps and curry; conversely the shrimp whit the curry rice were great. However the atmosphere is good, even if not so clean.... More

We had breakfast at La Cubana once and dinner there twice - food is overall average - nothing stands out as being either wonderful or something to avoid - but the beach-side location and friendly, congenial staff and visiting dogs sleeping under the tables kept bringing us back. Very relaxed and casual - could just prop our bikes up on... More

Best jerk chicken I've had in a long time. Service was slow (island time) but when the food arrived it was worth it. We had drinks too, it's a great view and right on the water

This place is garbage. Their so called "super breakfast" us actually " super lame". After waiting what seemed like an hour, we finally got our food. The eggs were greasy and cold, our beans were practically just some brown salty stock, and the meat balls were just enough to fill the gap in my teeth. If you want good food... More

This place is your typical beachside restaurant. I usually avoid these tourist type places but what they did have that caught my eye was roast pork with crackling. Since its a cuban spot, the roast pork came with the mojo sauce. Pork was good, nothing else stood out.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast, ordered some simple meals off their "Super Breakfast" menu, then waited... and waited... After 45 minutes of waiting, I had to get up and ask for our food. They brought mine, but not my wife's. Waited 10 minutes. Nothing. Got up, found a server and asked again, then they brought the wrong... More

Ordered chicken stew and a garlic pork dish...Portions were sizable. Both plates were flavorful and true to Cuban style cooking... Pork was tender, chicken was suckulant...will be going back...

Great dishes at a very good price. "La cubana" (the owner) is very friendly. We where so delighted that we dinned there 3 nights.

I ordered a pork sandwich and it was pretty fatty rather than meaty and not very flavorful. Service was slow and the added cost of using a credit card 5% wasn't worth it to me. The best part was the view by far. I'd recommend going and having a drink there while waiting for your water taxi but pass on... More
