nothing fancy, but a nice dine in restaurant in the city. maybe I'm bias, but it's the best Indian food I've ever had including in the US. entrees are usually large enough to share, usually each entrée is enough for 2 people so I recommend ordering several and sharing. My favorites include Butter Chicken and Manchurian chicken.

The meal is excellent. Real Indian spicy flavour. Cool and centrally located. Friendly staff but needs to improve the professional timely service.

We ate here on a quiet Saturday night - only one other table was taken - and we had a fabulous chicken madras, a biryani, some spicy Biharis and vegetable samosas, with local beer. The food was really spicy and authentic, staff shy but friendly, and the atmosphere non-existent. In other words, a classic Indian restaurant. Highly recommended.

We dined here and we're in the mood for Indian. The family running the place was definitely not very attentive... The food was good, but very spicy. The whole place had a weird vibe and the bathroom was something out of a scary movie. Overall, food was good, but the place is just kind of odd...

We enjoyed our meal at Sumathi. The food was fresh tasty and the portions were very generous. The restaurant is at different location 69 Baymen Ave.

I am a very picky eater and the group I was with insisted on going to this restaurant. I figured I would eat light & get something later. I ordered the Honey Chicken & I cleaned the plate. We all tried everyone dishes they were all very good. I can't eat hot (spicy) food so I told them this and... More

i must say its very difference kind of Indian food I have anywhere in the world. The pilau rice is just like boiled rice with yellow colour and a bit of garlic taste. Palak chicken is tasteless, nan is good. The waitress clear the table while my husband went to paid the bill and took away the unfinished beer which... More
