We had the snapper and shrimp burritos which were terrific. Service and ambience are good but view across the street not so good. Not their fault of course. Prices were very reasonable and portions are large. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The food at Omar's is fantastic, and it's local. We asked around to find a popular place with great local food and everyone we asked said to go to Omar's. The creole sauce is top notch here and you can't go wrong with any of the kinds of fish they have. We even tried the seaweed shake, which was awesome!... More

Omar's was recommended to us for the seafood - but we ended up ordering the chicken burrito instead. Like most of the Belize-Mexican food, it was not like a real Mexican burrito nor like an American-Mexican burrito, but the chicken had a great flavor and the ingredients were nice and fresh. We ordered a basket of fries to go with... More

The locals all suggest Omar's as a place to go for lunch or dinner. I was surprised by the pricing and the value for the food we ordered. Everything was tasty and the service was ok but as far as value is concerned, there are better choices in Placencia Village. I do recommend ordering a fresh juice. It sure hit... More

We could have eaten there every meal, every day. Simple, unpretentious, freshly prepared local dishes.

Had good reviews so tried it for dinner. Wasn't impressed. Out of much of the fish. Lion fish tasted fishy and old and it was expensive. Nothing special about the meal.

Omar's does not serve alcohol but they allow you to bring it in from elsewhere. If you don't have it they will send you to the restaurant next door to pick it up. Everything is made to order. I made a comment about cooking my tuna steak at home with bacon around it and they did the same thing even... More

This was actually the only place we found open at the weekend which was a little crazy but we went in and tried some barracuda whilst friends had burritos, all were really nice and not too over priced! Not the best meal I've had but it seems your limited to eat on a budget in Placencia. You are able to... More

Our dive instructor, who had pointed out some stupendous restaurants before, suggested this place for dinner. It was awful by every measure. First, the service was poor: not just slow, which it was, not just getting us the wrong food, which he did, but overall gave the impression that he didn't want to be there and didn't care if we... I decided to try this while walking past and I'm glad I did. They only do sea food but they do it well. You pick your fish or shrimp and then one of the different sauces. I went for the Cajun which was delicious. It's about 30bz for a dish. The fish is fresh, they even got a delivery while... More
