We just came through 4mos of staring at our four walls during lockdown and my husband declared we were going for a drive today. I didn’t believe it when I saw Tutti Frutti was open! We whipped the car around and parked right in front the unmistakable ice cream cone in front. Masked and sanitized up, we waltzed in and there in front of us was the most glorious colors and flavors of gelato my eyes had beheld in far too long. Of course we got medium cups of double scoops, double chocolate and cheesecake for me, cheesecake and raspberry for the hubs. Oh the flavors just burst on the tongue, it’s DEEEVINE. No regrets. Amazing gelato as always.

A gelato place in the middle of Placencia Village! I did not see that they had any competition in the town for fresh frozen ice cream. They had about 12 flavors to choose, and they even allow to choose half scoops! The building is clean and new and very inviting. While I sat and enjoyed my treat on the bench outside, there was a continuous stream of people coming to get a cone or a cup.

If you visit Placencia this is a iconic location. Great gelato and the owners and staff always friendly and gracious:)
The new location and flavor choices make it a must on every visit. We come from a local island and look forward to seeing and talking with staff and owner

As a local I have been visiting tutti frutti for a while now. It was always a place the kids look forward to on our visit to placencia. Unfortunately on our last visit it was a disappointment. Quality of gelato is not as good as before and customer service can use some improvements also. It seems that the owner wants customers to go outside immediately after purchasing their gelato due to covid restrictions and this is completely understandable. So I would like to suggest that rather than removing/chasing customers from their seated position in the shop when they're having their gelato, it would make more sense to simply remove the chairs from inside your store if u don't want customers to be inside after purchase. Would also like to remind the owners that u are not doing customers a favor by selling us your product. We are doing u a favor by buying it!!!

Siamo passati un paio di volte durante la nostra breve permanenza a Placencia, ed entrambe eravamo davvero indecisi riguardo i gusti da scegliere! Si sono poi rivelati davvero tutti buonissimi, si sente davvero un sapore intenso su ogni gusto.
Prezzi abbordabili, possibilità di mangiare all'interno (al fresco!) e la titolare è italiana (o almeno lo parla). Che altro?
We've been there a couple of times during our short stay in Placencia. Both of them we couldn't decide among the different tastes, as they all look amazing! All of them really were, super tasty and you could really taste the flavour in each one.
Good prices, chance to eat inside (and it has proper a/c), and the owner seems to be Italian. What else?

OK, rating should really be a 3…….but it’s the only real option in Placencia, the heat and humidity can be very aggressive, this spot is air conditioned (!!!) and I know you’ll stop here anyway. It’s like an AC’d oasis in the desert ( er… rainforest). Just make sure to expect more like a “3” for flavor and quality if you’re a fan of great gelato and ice cream.

Been vacationing in Placencia for about 7 years now. Tutti Frutti is the place we head for first when we get to the village. It's simple - Don't miss out out this treat! I highly recommend the flavors using the local fruits - banana, banana lime, cocnut, pineapple....so yummy!

Both traditional and tropical flavors of gelato here in a spotless, air-conditioned shop on the main road. Delightful — we had creme caramel, dark chocolate (the most popular) and pistachio. the pistachio was the best I have ever had.

How can you resist having some freshly made gelato in the little town Placentia… Especially when there’s no other ice cream parlor in town. I must have 15 flavors in this little shop on the main street in Placencia and there’s always somebody walking out, smiling, with an ice cream cone or a cup of gelato in their hand. It must be a satisfying business be able to make people happy every day like they do. The flavors are great, the gelato is great, and the owners are part French and part Italian so they know how to make gelato.

We had gelato at tutti frutti. Everybody loved the flavours they got. It is definitely high-quality gelato. Owner is very nice. We particularly enjoyed the passion fruit gelato and the cappuccino gelato. I even got an affogato to go which was top quality. The teenagers loved their gelato, found it better than ice cream.

The owners are definitely celebrities in their own right! AMAZING gelato and there were three non-dairy options when we were visiting. We went twice when we were in Placencia for the February art fair. Tutti Frutti came highly recommended by every local we interacted with. The non-dairy options were Strawberry, Tropical Cocktail, and Soursop.

Based on articles and blogs on visiting Placencia, Tutti Frutti was definitely on my lists of musts for my trip. My husband & I and the two other couples with whom we were traveling stopped by after our dinner at the nearby Rumfish y Vino. The homemade gelato is just as delicious as reviews say! I had half cappuccino and half caramel - yum! Don't forget that Tutti Frutti is closed on Wednesdays, the day the fresh gelato is made.

After reading the reviews we knew we must go. So many people stated they went more than once. Know we know why. We have to agree, best ice cream around! Our group had the peanut butter, chocolate, coconut, and salted caramel. Not one was bad. I have never had coconut ice cream and I was told once to try it. This definitely is the place to have it!

I haven't had gelato in ages! We found Tutti Frutti and got there just after a crowd of students. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars; the server seemed to be frazzled by a sudden influx of people and was somewhat rude with my husband when he tried to talk to her. The gelato was great! The store is very clean and well decorated. The gelato display was extremely well done and prices were very reasonable. Would go back and have some again.

We came here for dessert after eating at Ricks which is right upstairs. Gelato is great and they had a nice selection to choose from. We were staying at Turtle inn and found out that the restaurant there actually gets their gelato from Tutti Frutti.
