Delicious meal on the river

The food was delicious. I had a bacon cheeseburger. It was very flavorful, and the grilled onions were cooked perfectly. The service was quick and friendly - shout out to Alfredo! You have the option to sit inside or out. I choose a quiet spot on the river. A great spot in Orange Walk!

I had a shrimp soup. Delicious. My wife had pasta Alfredo. Also flavorsome. One of my kids ask for a fry chicken and he loved it! He said it’s the best fry chicken he has ever had. My other son ask for Buffalo wings and they brought him something like chicken tenders 😞 . My little Princess ask for macaroni and cheese and she said it was very yummy in the tummy 🙂 . We ask for cheese sticks as an entry and it was the worst cheese sticks we’ve ever seen and not delicious 😞 Nice Environment and the waitress polite and attentive 🤗

Beautiful setting, but very poor food

The setting is super nice on the water's edge, with good music and helpful and helpful servers. On the other hand, the food really wasn't great. We ordered grilled meat, very tough and not very tasty, and an inedible lobster (not a fresh taste to vomit). Too bad, because there were good reviews about this restaurant…

This is my 3rd visit at this restaurant, with a very disappointing turn out. Something as simple as Margarita was not available. I tried ordering at 4 different kinds of mixed drinks listed on the drinks menu and was surprised that none was available… I got tired and opted for a regular beer instead. The food was also vey disappointing, my husband ordered beef fajitas, and the food arrived cold with trimming very little sides- and worst of all the tortilla was hard-probably a warm over! How could that have been after such a long wait for the food? I had lemon pepper wings which was very dry and salty. I’m still plan to give them another visit and hopefully the service will be improved.

Maracas is my all time favorite place when visiting orange walk. The food is outstanding, starting from the ceviches to the grilled shrimps, quesadillas, wings, burgers. We’ve almost tried it all. This place is high rated in service. Love the waiters and bartenders especially Carlitos and Andy. You guys are the best!! See y’all on my next visit.

BEST FOOD OF OUR TRIP

Incredible service, delicious food and drinks, reasonable prices!! Mar and Carlos were incredible people to meet on our first couple of nights in Belize! They were so helpful and friendly. Honestly, this was some of the best food we had on our whole trip. It was incredible to sit by the river and sip on the El Gran Mestizo (their house cocktail) and eat stuffed tostones (a favorite dish!).

If you live in Orange Walk, you know this April with the heat wave we be going through it 🥵🔥🙄. So me and my best judy decided to have a little afternoon drinking 😈 to cope with the unbearable heat. The cocktails were the bomb. That mangorita 💯. Real chill ambiance, and refreshing drinks! Service was 10/10 i also had the pleasure of meeting Jaritzy & Ana they both were super friendly and sweet! Talking to them i felt as if i was catching up with some long time friends, was a pleasure meeting you ladies. Over all can’t complain most definitely will be back! Thanks for the awesome service and drinks Jaritzy and Ana! Cheers 🥂.

Good Dinner by the River

We were staying at the hotel so came in here for dinner. Food as good and staff was very friendly. The prices were a tad high but not too bad. Nice view being right near the river. I would recommend, especially for those staying at the hotel as you cannot get more convenient.

Maracas staff thank you for making my dad's birthday dinner extra special. The service was great, the food was awesome, and the staff always smiling. The special touch of the birthday banner with the table reservation was a pleasant surprise. Adrian recommend and made the request for us. The place and the food is everything! My mom really had the best birthday dinner and most of all Excellent service! The waiters are super nice and respectful. Ms. Jaritzy attended us with huge love. We are surely going back SOON!

What a great place to relax out of Belize City, nice secluded part of Orange Walk, fabulous food and drinks,friendly staff. We casually mentioned we were celebrating a late anniversary,a birthday and meeting up with family,and out came not one slice of brownie cake but four pieces.
