The food was fine. It is worth going to see the show. We enjoyed the marimba music and the explanation of Mayan customs I spent a nice evening there.

Has the right vibe. Enjoyed the live music. The owner is a character. Dogs will come in from street and beg though.

A group of about 18 went to dinner here. Not only was the food great (order the pepien chicken) but the entertainment was so much fun. The owner provides the commentary while his family provides the entertainment and his wife cooks the meals. Can't recommend this enough.

Wonderful evening of local food (pepien) and music (marimba). Miguel the owner along with his 3 daughter and a nice did the entertaining while his wife did the cooking. He explained the Maya folklore, quichiqal language, how the marimba was first made, explained the various cultural clothing differences and headpieces. An extremely interesting and informative evening. Not to mention the... More

Good meals at regular prices. Always adequate, but the band got it an extra one and a half stars. Fish and chicken are always great choices.

Thoroughly enjoyed my recent dinner at Jose's restaurant. The food was wonderful. Most importantly, Jose takes the time to educate his customers on the Mayan history in Guatemala, shares Mayan music, language, and even holds tortilla making contests. He is able to engage the entire restaurant in the experience which makes you feel like you all know one another. I... More

We were immediately drawn by the music show and we were very happy to assist to the whole program. It gave us a nice local feel and we learned a lot about their culture (the owner spoke English & French which was great for us because we are French Canadian). We had a lot of fun and the food was... It's a family run restaurant that serves authentic Mayan food and shares Mayan culture with the guests. The host family is engaging and welcoming. They have planned activities for guests such as tortia making during the dinner. If you plan to come here, make sure you reserve in advance. You will have options for drinks (including BYOB) but dinner menu... More

We had a late lunch and completely enjoyed it. The waiter was very good. The place was quiet and i understand it can get noisy with music etc. Cold beer and good food... it was all we were looking for and they delivered
