Very interesting place and excellent food! This was our family's unanimous choice as "best meal" during our visit to Guatemala (not only Quetzaltenango). Excellent value and great service. Highly recommended.

Walking around the old historical building would have been enough, but the food and service are very good. We had a cheese fondue (Ementhal and Gruyere) with an excellent Argentine Malbec and the Chipotle-Nut soup was an original. Vegans will have a hard time here....More

This great restaurant is placed in an antique house that was built by Germay consul in Quetzaltenango. It has housed a school and the bishop headquarters. The house was carefully restored. The gourmet food is superb, but the prices are more than fair. Enjoy the...More

Had the cheese fondue, it was yummy, served with apples, broccoli, carrots, and bread. Also priced very reasonably given it is considered among Guatemala's top five. That said, while the decor is unique and interesting, it's also kind of a hodgepodge. I think by trying...More

Service was great. Food was great. Got a tour of the place after dinner. A truly unique eatery. If you're in town, then check it out.

This place is very unique and should be visited if in town. Restaurant is in an old embassy and the place is rich with history and style. Food is great, however the service isn't always great. Try the steak pimienta and a smoothie.

This is a restaurant-museum. It is a big antique astonishing house, with beauiful decoration and furnishings, with wide corridors and a beautiful garden. Historic site, very well conserved. Good service and attention from personel, but the food quality needs to be improved. I ordered a...More

The restaurant is gorgeous, very well decorated, very elegant, and a big event location. They have great food, and good service. The mero al ajío es fantastic, their vegetable soup could do with more flavor and should be served hotter.

Really excellent meal. The most expensive meal our family has had thus far in Guatemala but was a lovely setting and delicious food.
