Family owned....Owners and staff provide customers with a down-home and welcoming place to dine. Food is excellent. Ask for Cassandra and Glen and tell them that I sent you there:)

While visiting friends in North Augusta, we were taken to a little hole in the wall on Broad street. First impressions was the friendly atmosphere and clean inside. Then came the food, fantastic, well done and the Southern flavor of the food was the best I had eaten since back in the 70's when I was stationed near Lebanon MO.... More

Wifey and I had heard of this little cafe thru the grapevine while visiting Augusta,Ga. we had just had lunch so we walked lunch off headed to 209 Cafe. I had the apple crisp and wifey had the peach cobbler both were the best that we have tasted since our grandmothers days. Outstanding and highly recommended we will go back.

My daughter and I have been twice. Both times food was great. The Roast Beef, Fried Chicken, Smothered Pork Chop were all very good. All the vegetables were seasoned in the southern fashion (fatback/bacon). Great Mac/Cheese. Being born and raised in the South, I look for authentic Southern food. And you will find it here at Café 209.

Never judge a restaurant by it's cover. Sit down order and plane out and out enjoy. The food was just like my grandmother made. Which was great. Try this place and take a trip back to granny's kitchen table.

The place all the local downtown employees go. The menu says everything is made to order. I had fish (choice of flounder or catfish) and grits with peas. So good. My wife had a BLT. So good. Sweat tea. So good. Want to go back to try other items. Soup. So good. Don't be in a hurry here. Not much... More

This is a family run business who are always in the restaurant checking on their customers, be it the wife, the husband, or his mother in law. The wait staff is very attentive, even memorizing the previous orders and especially the drink order of their regulars. We walk in & our regular server appears with our drinks out of nowhere....
