Tony's has been in Alton forever. Great food and service. The Prohibition Lounge is our favorite. More going on and we always see someone we know.

13 of us gathered in small room. Clean and pleasant. Waitress was excellent and efficient. An enjoyable evening, but disappointing. I was embarrassed to have recommended the Italian potatoes I once enjoyed there. They were no longer the savory dish I recall. Once a delicate...More

We were a group of 13 adults, so chose Tony's for the private room. We had excellent service, we were not rushed at all. My salmon was good. The salad was just lettuce with cheese on top.

On the good side, we had a private room for a group of 13 for an anniversary celebration and the service was good. On the down side for me was a menu that did not match what was on web site. I had selected in...More

Its been quite awhile since we have eaten here because the last 3 times that we did the steaks were full of gristel(?). Order New York Strip and it had a line of gristel down the middle that you could see. When I pointed that...More

I cant even rate this. Continues to be a trainwreck. Gave it another chance, shame on us. Service sucked, food sucked, and dont bother telling the manager. Excuses, excuses. It will be a cold day in hell before we come back, yet again. If you...More

Ton'y is an Alton icon, so it probably gains points for that alone. The dinner menu is kind of expensive. We used one of the back rooms for our wedding and the buffet options were pretty good.

6 of us just finished having dinner on Saturday, 4/15. The service was 5 star. The chef, Brian, came out to our table to answer questions, make suggestions and was just truly professional, engaged and passionate at his art. The steak was flawless. The best...More

This place has been around for quite some time, but manages to serve up consistently solid food. Both my wife and I ordered the pepperloin. She ordered well done, and I ordered the medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly, and even tho hers was well...More

Tony's Tuscany dining room offers a casual relaxed atmosphere with elegant tones. This dining room draws you in with it's deep colored walls, pressed tin ceiling, and the amber tiffany lamps adding the perfect glow over the cozy private booths. Please note there are no reservations accepted in this dining room. The casual Tuscany dining room is seated on a first come first serve basis. If reservations are essential, Tony's boasts four elegant dining rooms complete with pristine white table linens and service that is second to none. Of course great service and atmosphere aren't the only reasons people have been making the trip to Tony's for 55 years. Tony's is the home of the World Famous Pepperloin Steak. This beef tenderloin is marinated in Tony's secret marinade, rolled in half cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, and drizzled with garlic butter. After one bite of this mouth watering steak, you will never want steak from another restaurant again. It is so tender it can be cut with a butter knife, and it practically melts on your palette. Tony's also sells these unbelievable steaks marinated, peppered, and ready for your grill at home. If steaks are not for you, Tony's offers 20 different home made specialty pastas, along with a delicious selection of seafood and chicken dishes. With a wine list of 60 wines by the bottle and 30 by the glass selections, even the most discriminating wine aficionado will be in heaven. For an after dinner drink one must try the Italian Delight, Tony's version of the ice cream drink the Brandy Alexander. After re-opening from the flood of '93, Tony's added The Third Street Cafe (is now the new prohibition lounge), a 75 seat bar with a charming sidewalk cafe. It is a favorite place in town for meeting friends for drinks, waiting for a table in the dining room, or bringing the family in for a casual dinner. Tony's bar and sidewalk cafe serves pizza, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and kabobs in a family atmosphere. Tony's is sure to have something to please everyone, and we do our best to accommodate any special requests you may have.
