Like most tourist traps, I had concerns about the quality of food / service (and the tripadvisor reviews helped waylay those) and those concerns were entirely unnecessary. The food was top notch, with a properly cooked, flavorful piece of meat and the service was prompt...More

It may be touristy, but we loved it. Good food and vibe right out of the movie. We sat right by the pianist (who could have been more animated) and enjoyed our dinner. Service was prompt and the food was tasty. They were out of...More

Came here because of its reputation from the movie Casablanca. But yes we read from articles that the movie was not shot here, it was just inspired by the Rick’s cafe in the movie. As a fan I’d say yes sure the ambiance does remind...More

Ricks had a great interior and fitout. Unfortunately we had not booked even though we arrived before opening and we were ushered to sit at a table in the corner of the bar away from the main restaurant. Unfortunately the staff were not so attentive...More

Business casual - no jacket or tie required for men but many men wear sports jackets. Women tend to wear nice dresses but not as fancy as a cocktail dress.

Description
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist
