We were immediately drawn into Berrada by the smell of BBQ walking on one of the crowded streets of the old Medina, have to admit.. before checking online we weren't sure if it was a tourist trap. There was no menu, we were led straight to the kitchen to taste and order, but the tajine was amazing so we decided... More

We were in the area so went for this restaurant for a lunch and we were very pleased with our meal there. First you are shepherded into the kitchen to taste the three main courses they had that day. We both went for the meatballs and they were delicious. To start with they gave you a selection of starters with... More

We had the poisson tagine, beef tagine and the kebabs. The dishes were flavourful and the complimentary Moroccan salad at the start were fresh and delicious. The mint tea at the end was honestly the best we had during our 2 weeks in Morocco. Honest, genuine service in the touristic heart of Fes -does t get better than this!

I saw in Lonely Planet and decide to give a try. It was a nice surprise: excellent food, no menu and the owner is a wonderful person. In a week in Morocco, so far, was the best food we've tried. The owner takes you direct to the kitchen and you have no choice, with a spoon he gives you a... More

This restaurant deserves a higher rank on Tripadvisor because of the good food and the whole experience! The host, a grandfatherly old man welcomes you in straight to the kitchen where he will spoon feed you until you find the best dish that you want to order. Constantly checking that we are enjoying our meal, he treated us like his... More

The food here is probably the best authentic Moroccan meal we had on the trip. Loveliest little family run place. Berrada, the owner, is the friendliest man, who took us straight into the kitchen as soon as we walked in, letting us taste and choose everything we wanted (no menu). Tagines, lentils, beans, salads, bread, harissa and aubergines for three... More

Extraordinaly heartfull experience with very nice older man as owner of traditional morocians restaurant, despite owner does not speak english. Place is of a big favor by local people and you might gain this authentic, clean, but very humble experience by eating here.

There is no menu. The owner lead you to the kitchen and give you a taste of the 3 different types of tagine. As soon as you seat, he brings some side dishes and bread. The food is tasteful! With soda or water cost 5 euros. It's totally worth!

Eating at the Berrada Family Restaurant is a must if you are in Fes. Located in the winding streets of the medina - if you can find this little hole-in-the-wall restaurant, you have stumbled upon one of Fes’ greatest treasures. Upon entering, the owner of the restaurant (Hamid) will have you follow the delicious scents wafting from the tiny kitchen... More

First thing after crossing the door was being dragged by the owner to the kitchen, to taste their specialties of the day. He is many years old :) but very young spirit. No surprises, you eat what you like at reasonable price.
