A feast for the senses with Moroccan cuisine, there are different areas to enjoy your meal, I choose the outdoor seating since it was a nice day, service was great, live music, delicious food, a memorable evening.

What a meal, amazing starter meze style and excellent quality traditional dishes. Tried 3 different moroccon wines too each with a different course to compliment food. Rose, white and red, all recommended by sommelier. All very good.Best meal we had in marakesh. Service top quality felt like private dining seated in a private curtained area for a romantic dinner. Must... More

We had an interesting evening here... We came in for Breakfast during Ramadan at 8 pm. We were told that the regular menu was not available until 9 pm. We were hungry and were open to trying this earlier special meal. The table was already laden with small bowls and plates of the traditional foods that are eaten for this... More

After a delightful day at La Mamounia, we finished off my birthday celebrations at Le Marocain. As we were still recovering from a massive meal the day before, we got the staff to arrange a single dish option which normally isn't on the menu (they have 2 or 3 course menu options) and ordered a bottle of wonderful local pinot... Having come to Le Mamounia for mint tea during the day and braved the Place Jemaa & Souk crowds we both fancied a taste of traditional Moroccan food in an intimate venue. Le Marocain delivered...the food was great, portions gigantic--the tagine my wife ordered with beef and egg was easily enough for two. Moroccan wine was once again pleasantly drinkable...staff... Le Marocain is in the Hotel Mamounia, which won best hotel of the year last year from Conde Naste. It is in wonderful location, a wonderful hotel, surrounded by a wonderful garden. And it is a place frequented as guests by world leaders, top musicians, actors, celebrities on the very, very, very rich. In this location, this restaurant fits like... More

Just the worst North African food that we have ever had, even the free soup to start lacked any flavour, we were surprised that La Mamounia don't do something to improve the quality, even the water - imported naturally though in the rooms they give you local water - was a ridiculous 100 dirhams a bottle. The most expensive meal... More

the food here was high quality (lobster pastilla was memorable) as you'd expect at such a well known historical venue but.... all felt very formal and a little stiff in terms of service. quiet place suggests prices or formality are possibly keeping people away. wine list had some good names but at prices that were just ridiculously excessive (even compared... If you are looking for a high end dining experience in Marrakech, I highly recommend Le Marocain at La Mamounia hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and the service is oustanding. I hosted a private birthday dinner for 10 in April and dealt directly with Rim, the banquet manager. Rim was wonderful. From sending me pictures of the space, to helping... More
