You will undoubtedly get lost at some point in this magical crazy city but don't panic, just keep walking, follow another tourist who will probably be just as lost as you, avoid empty streets and you will be fine. Getting lost within the mesmerising myriad of narrow alleys is inevitable but from experience we felt safe. Enjoy

Yes my GPS confirmed I was in the right place. I even saw an old tripadvisor logo in the window. But they are closed. Talked to a guy in the alley and he confirmed it.

There is always someone who will help you. Be aware someone usually wants to sell you something but they are pleasant if you are.We were never hassled if we just smiled and said 'got one already' or ' no thanks' you are left alone. We never felt intimidated or threatened we understand there are pick pockets in some places so... More

Found getting around Marrakech quite straightforward, but one afternoon we wandered a bit out of the way and were obviously looking baffled to where we were 3 times we were approached by Moroccans saying they were guides and would lead us back to the square but be aware this isn't done for free, had a laugh about it though.

Easy to find the right way. There is always someone to help, although pay attention, because you might be taken to a shop......

We felt safe and comfortable to explore Marrakech on foot with the help of Riad Kheirredine giving us a mobile telephone to call Yajaira and Valentina at the Riad if we needed help - getting lost or hassle from a tour guide was not an issue with a little help from our new friends!

Thank goodness for the directions I found on Tripadvisor. But, once I got there, excellent, same day, service at a bargan price.

We should have been more aware. We were guided to a place through miles of passages. We were completely lost, had two men arguing over us in a language we did not understand and being very threatening. We both became more than a little scared; not savvy enough! However for all of this having found our way out we had... More

I understand it is easy to get LOST in medina and difficult to find my place. If you find where is Mosque Mouhassine, it just takes 5 mins from there. Headding to West (Rue sidi el Yamani) for 40m, and turn right on Darb Snane. The street will left turn after 4m, keep going for 20m. You will see a green door on your left. Don't forget to bring your laundry and enjoy our coffee and snacks.
