Really nice cafe for people watching with reasonably priced food and a good ambience. Staff could be more attentive.

Overlooking the old spice market this coffee bar has a super location. We only had drinks and some Moroccan Pastries, and both were very good. More extensive eating options were available.

Lovely to go up to the terrace and look down over the busy souk des epices. Great for a sandwich and a coffeewhen you need to take a break from exploring the medina.

I spent an evening meal with a friend at this cafe. It is right in the centre of the Medina, facing a small market square. It caters - we realised when climbing the stairs to have a low round and rustic dining table - mainly to tourists, with a view of the small square on the second floor. We had... More

I have been twice there. Eating breakfast and dinner. Food is not very exceptional- normal. I was not satisfied with harira but home salad was better choose. Tagine served was very touristic. Not typically marrocan . If you would like just seat and grab some coffee that is nice place to do:)

Had a really nice dinner. Love the little square it's on, much more chilled area - especially without the hassle you can get. Really nice inside and reasonably priced!! :)))

Repeating a lot of what's said elsewhere but great location. Get a seat on the terrace if there's a free table, borrow a straw hat cos of the sun, enjoy the fresh orange juice and eat good food before heading off for more Souk haggling. 1st visit had the lamb and prune tagine - very good. 2nd visit the house... Nice views on terrace, cheap food (could be cheaper elsewhere!) but good value for money. Attentive and friendly staff, popular with tourists. Great location next to the main souk.

Enjoyed this cafe and had a lovely avocado salad. We also ordered soup it was tasty however would of been better if it was hot as it came pretty cold. This did not put us off coming back the next day as there was friendly staff and good tea.

Had lunch here a couple of times and right in the centre of a little square in the middle of the souks. Food is tasty and not expensive. The menu isn't vast but it certainly refuelled us after a long morning of walking round the souks! Great to sit and eat and drink whilst watching the hustle and bustle in... More

In the heart of the Medina and Souks of Marrakech lies the Rahba Kedima spice square, where old women gather to pound henna for traditional tattoos and sell hand knitted hats, while seasoned vendors run the surrounding spice stores.
Within this setting is the now famed Cafe des Epices, the perfect meeting place and rest stop from the heat and commotion of the souks. The inexpensive menu is focused on the simple and fresh, offering teas and coffee, freshly made juices, sandwiches, salads and crepes. The design is correspondingly simple: deliberately paired down and basic in order to offer a peaceful resting place after the visual overload of the Souks.
Built over 3 floors, the top terrace offers great views over the square and surrounding Medina, the non-smoking 2nd floor salon is a great place to lounge and the ground floor and outdoor tables are fantastic places from which to watch the colourful comings and goings of the spice square market.
