This Indian restaurant serves primarily northern Indian food which is less spicy than the stereotypical southern Indian restaurant. Where as many reviewers comment that the food is the best in Dar, I would beg to differ especially when you consider value for money.

I visited with friends for dinner. Service was relatively quick and the food was OK. I wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant decor but the wait staff were courteous and eager to serve. In all honesty, this restaurant, to me, was just OK at best. I can't highly recommend it but it wasn't bad either.

The dining room is large and a bit "cold" but still nice for a small or large outing. The food is excellent and you can also get take away.

Oh dear, what a difference a year makes... Really was looking forward to eating at Nawabi again but what a let down. Went for take out, curries were barely different, promised pickles and chutneys but when home none were there. This used to be the go to place for Indian food... Looks like I'll be searching for somewhere else.

Well finding indian/ Pakistani food while away from home is always a treat. We order Cheese Nan, Palak Makhani and Chicken Masala and all of them were tasted just like back home. They have a huge menu and i had two meals there; both of them were up to the par. I would say its a must go; if you... More

This was my second visit and I was hoping the food would be as good as the first time. The meal started well with some papadoms and tamarind and coconut chutneys. After ordering we did have to complain about the long wait for the main course. The fish in coconut was good as well as the Jeera rice. However the... More

I was feeling like an Indian meal not too far from where I live and decided to try Nawabi Khana. The restaurant is spacious and the decor pleasant. The staff all wear Indian clothes and we're welcoming and friendly. The background Kenny G music was quiet enough not to drown conversation. The service was very good and my meal arrived... More

Not gauging the pulse of the guests. A big hall with music and the usual chat makes a mess of the ambience - into an otherwise good food!
