Lime Tree is great for a quick lunch in Addis in between business meetings. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is reliably and reasonably good (though not exceptional), with rotating specials every day (e.g. Mexican on Wednesdays and brunch on Thursdays). We often stop here when we are in Addis since it is conveniently located to the Radisson Blu... More

I think they have a few locations. I visited the location near the UN. I had several meals at the Lime Tree. They have great traditional Ethiopian cuisine, as well as some American and Mediterranean options. If you have food allergies or restrictions just tell them and they will help you order at the counter. Lots of vegan options, great... More

We came here for a quick lunch. It was nice and inexpensive (a meal was about 200 BIRR) My friend recommended the shawarma, which was really good—it actually wasn’t on the paper menu though, so we had to ask for it. Warning: the chicken shawarma came with lots of mayo, however the falafel wrap came with hummus (perhaps you can... More

They have a nice mezze buffet with Mediterranean food quite reasonably priced--70 birr for a medium sized plate with a good selection of salads and dips. Also very good juice and great chocolate cake. A convenient place for coffee meetings, etc.

I love that they do health food. I am sad to learn that Lime Tree Bole is not any more there, so I go to the second lime tree. They have my fathers kitchen that is very human.

Lime Tree is a super pleasant place with a progressive, healthy and varied offering. They have daily lunch specials (Mexican one day, salad bar another, etc...). Their "special tea" tea, fruit juice, ginger, honey is amazing and their lentil soup just GREAT. They are open from 7AM to 8PM and one can always have a great, healthy meal served by... More

The interior of the place is well designed and it has a very comforting vibe. There is a great selection of dishes for breakfast and light meals. It is also well known for the delicious chocolate cake.

Interesting cozy place located conveniently on Bole road. The food is good and the menu is interesting. It is more of a cafe than a restaurant, so adjust your expectations.

I have been going here very often but now with full confidence I can say that this place needs improvement their hygiene standards . every time I have had an upset stomach. In name of fresh juice they serve juice kept refrigerated for many hours. Wok is not cleaned properly and gets a fair dose of sand and dust from... More

This is a good lunchtime haunt, as long as you can put up with the utterly chaotic service. The Lime Tree can’t quite make up its mind what it wants to be – fast food restaurant, self service buffet, sit down diner. It has some good ideas, like a daily special (live wok, Mexican wrap, chicken shawarma), which are usually... More
