This restaurant is very popular with tourists and ex-pats. As a vegan, Ethiopian food is a favorite for me normally, so to be able to eat their traditional food daily was very exciting for me. Their food was extremely flavorful and the singing and dancing is fantastic. The prices are reasonable. It's a great experience and worth a visit.

My host offered to take me out. Very happy that he did. I certainly would go back again anytime I was asked. The food was great, the service was fine, the music was even better but the dancing was wonderful‼️ The music and dance represented all areas of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 It was a country cultural tour in an evening of... I had invited my guests from Canada for dinner at Yod Abyssinia Cultural Ethiopian Restaurant located around Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. They serve varieties of tasty Ethiopian meals. If you are going there on weekends, eve or on Holidays like Ethiopian Christmas, New Year, make sure to reserve your seat in advance. They have also LIVE dances of the... More

I have been to a lot of African countries and can truely say this was one of if not the best cultural experience I have had. The food was extremely tasty and the show out of this world. All the waiters understand english. The bill was very reasonable for a dinner of four people too. I'll be back!

Overall it's a traditional Ethiopian restaurant, you can enjoy local food and local music, however in communication with tourists that doesn't speak the local language they need lot of improvement , we visited there with group of tourists who had long waiting time for next flight and we all received from Ethiopian airline a city tour with dinner at Abyssinia... We went in at time when they were not very busy (4.30p.m.). They were clearly preparing for the evening crowd. Despite being the only clients we were asked twice to leave the 'reserved' table we had taken despite informing them that we were not staying for the evening. We just wanted a quick meal and we would be out soon.... More

This is a traditional restaurant. They have a stage with dancers, good food and a really nice atmoshere. The bigger your group the more fun you will have. It is important to reserve a place as it can get quite full esp. on the weekends.
