This is a great restaurant in a part of Addis ababa where many hotels are located. Should be easy to get to. Delicious food. The chocolate mousse for dessert is scrumptious.

We ate here on friend recommendation and proximity to hotel. The food was pleasant but overpriced by Addis standards.

La Mandoline offers good quality price food with a good touch of French and Italian cuisine. It can be slow at times but worth waiting in a nice cadre.

Wine is extremely overpriced at Mandoline even by Addis standards. They had ran out of most french wine so we ended up drinking an absolutely awful bottle of Calvet and paying 35$ for it. Even the bootle of Ethiopian Rift Valley wine is at 600 Birr, double of what similar restaurants charge for the same bootle. The charcuterie platter however... More

The restaurant is a little out of the way, so necessitates a taxi ride, especially during the evening. It's location is slightly daunting as the road is dimly lit and narrow. However, the restaurant is a delight, with delicately understated décor, simple but effective. The service is attentive and the food was nicely presented and tasted delicious. It is reasonably... Nice outside sitting space. They serve Ethiopian as well as French dishes. It is rather difficult to find but worth a visit.

A nice quiet place with agreeable outdoor set up. Omelettes were excellent as was the coffee. Almost impossible to find without help. Largely French influence in the menu

The place was lovely - it was a little tricky to find - but we did find it - and it was an easy space, and the veg options were really delicious as was the salad and the wine. It was a lovely evening.

Had lunch at La Mandoline after Bahir Zaf turned out to be closed for renovations. This is a good French restaurant in a city in which genuinely good foreign cuisine is hard to come by. The menu is essentially French bistro food, albeit at a fine dining price point by local standards. I had the soup of the day (Carrot),... More

Description
Note that there are no street addresses in Ethiopia! I've done my best to describe its location as would be done by one person living in Ethiopia to another. I lived in Ethiopia for 2 years, and I assure you this place exists. A map to this establishment can be found in the American Embassy publication at:
