The restaurant is quite cosy - can feel cramped - but the service is quick and professional, there is good selection of food which was delicious nicely presented. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Very interesting aesthetic, so many things to look at! The food is very good, and service is great. The chocolate bomb for dessert is awesome.

Our small tour group held our farewell dinner here. The menu offers an excellent & diverse selection of dishes both meat & seafood. Everyone raved about the zucchini soup. The sole entree was outstanding. Be sure to save room for the chocolate explosion dessert. It’s...More

We had very mixed experiences with eating out on our travels in Madagascar but dining at La Varangue was altogether different. From the moment we entered the parking courtyard with its collection of vintage cars we realised this was going to be different. Inside everywhere...More

Good foie gras and duck. So much better than "Sakamanga". Take your passport with you, taxi/police scam around the corner asking for ID ( they ask for a bribe to let you go).

It's not that expensive by international standards but it is quite pricey by local standards. If you are doing a full multi-course meal then I think that $25-30 should cover each person easily enough.
