Been there and ate fish and was great , a real French taste like food . I ate branchette de lotte and for the entre, salade de fries, both were great , beside there was table French wine ... The lady and the team were very hospitable and the service and food were clean

Visited on a Saturday night, didn't book and got a table. Was recommended by a taxi driver, not sure we would have found it otherwise. Nice menu including a set menu. Had to ask for vegetarian options but they were available. VISA accepted. Staff friendly, restaurant clean and tidy with indoor and outdoor seating. African art shops around the restaurant... More

Cheap and friendly local found in Dakar. professional staff , perfect communication and good suggestions for meals. The quality and taste of food was fantastic. The restaurant has two different areas inside and out.

Really good fish restaurant, you cannot quite see the sea but you can hear and it smell it. But it was at night, so don't quote me. The food was excellent and both enjoyed it enormously. The prawns were wonderful and plentiful. My friend had some fish and was really pleased with it. Service was great and the staff very... More

A very smart restaurant, with a good value menu and a wide range of French cuisine (with a local twist of course!) Some great fresh seafood to choose from. Very generous portions. Attentive service and nice atmosphere, with fairy lights sparkling across the roof. Quite a lot of mosquitoes at night (as I found out to my cost!) so don't... More

Good, attentive service. Very good food. Good location (the Atlantic is just across the street.) Price: $50 to $60 for dinner for two, no alcohol.

What a bunch of friendly, caring staff. As soon as we tasted our Margaritas we knew this was a place of quality. We went for the set menu at 8,800 SEF (€13) and were amazed at the high level, freshness and size of the portions My filet of Thioffe was tender and tasty and the beans and spinach were wonderful!... Most restaurant reviews, I suppose, tell you as much about the reviewer as they do about the restaurant, so as I explain how much my group loved LeDionevar, perhaps I should give a little context so that you can know how to process my thoughts: 1. I'm not the food critic for the New York Times. I'm a simple man.... More

I went to Dionevar some years ago, and the food was much better that their neighbor Pointe des Almadies. This time fish was dry and the rest of the dishes "uninspired". Please recover your inspiration! The place is simple a little bit old but ok.

Like I said, the food here seemed overpriced and underwhelming. The fish yassa was uninspired and too sweet. The fried fish was coated in a hard crust and all taste leached out of it. The proprietress like the fish was coated in a hard crust with all taste leached out of her. Ambiance is OK as part of it is... More
