If you are a sea food lover la pointe des almadies is the place to be. You have the choice a good restaurants as well as popular ones. the place could be better in terms of cleaness but the food is nice.

If you want laid back, byt the beach, seashells nearby, and a good sea breeze with fresh seafood this is the spot. It is not reagl surroundings, plastic chairs and tables, but good value for what you eat

Nice old venue with the same staff wprkinf for the last 30 years. The owner philipe, despite being fairly youmg amd holding a senegalese passport, is a very old style "immigrant" with a focus on expat community. Service is very slow with an average outcome. The meat was overcooked and dry. I have been there several times but never on... More

I couldn't afford to dine here but wanted to stand on the westernmost tip of the African continent. I was stood on the rocky beach eating places to my left and right. Waves strangely calm with a menacing streak. The souvenir handmade artisans stalls arranged in a cul de sac just off the ocean behind the little strip of sand... More

We ate at the seafood stalls the night before and decided to go a little upscale for Xmas eve. Actually was a mistake we had better food ambience, music in the food stalls. They didn't have lobsters. We had starters of mixed seafood and shrimp cocktail, was okay but nothing special. Mains were seafood fricasse and grilled shrimp. All was... More

We had a very delicious lunch here. Service was fast and friendly. Open air dining under shade - even on a hot day, it was pleasant with a nice breeze blowing through.

There is a small beach, although it is flooded at high tide. Really the attraction is the super fresh street food. Don't go to one of the mainstream restaurants, the food from the stalls is excellent. Pick your seafood and watch them grill it. No better way to spend time in Dakar
