Besides being a gorgeous historic hotel, this has several different restaurants, all of them excellent and the food and service very good. The hotel is just incredibly beautiful and it's well worth the trip. The restaurant, Krishnarpan, is farm to table food and they have their own farms outside the city. You get a personalized menu and can choose 6... More

In a wonderful setting, the Nepali cuisine restaurant of the beautiful Dwarika Hotel offers a unique experience of sampling the diversity and subtlety of the local delicacies. With a perfect service and waitresses always happy to explain and guide you through the 12-15 or up to 24 courses served during diner, you are invited to sample the amazing richness of... More

But what really stands out is the design: for many years the visionary owners have rescued numerous woodcarvings from around the Kathmandu valley and incorporated them into the hotel design. The result: a cross between a... More

This hotel property is one of the most beautiful that I've ever seen. From the moment you walk in, it's easy to forget the chaos and craziness that exists just outside. Suddenly, the dust and noise seem to disappear and you're transported to a quiet, peaceful, and tranquil world. The Fusion Bar is also wonderful and the pool beautiful. Would... More

I last visited Dwarikas for a prose and poetry reading my husband and other friends were participating in. The reading was held in a lovely auditorium above one of the hotel's restaurants. Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar were available on an adjoining balcony. The snacks were delicious and the drinks expensive, but since the reading was free people didn't... More

Continental cuisine available, as well as Nepalese and Japanese. Everything was fresh and prepared in an unusual and interesting manner. (Best brushetta I have ever had, anywhere!)

This is an unique hotel in Kathmandu. The building is ancient but amenities are modern. You can have a luxury stay with total Nepali traditional way.
