This one of those places that you can visit everyday for a cup of tea and some amazing cakes. Perfect for both locals as well as for tourists. I would definitely recommend this place for their black forest, coconut, choco-banana cakes to name a few.

Living in a village in Nepal, this place has become a must visit every time I make it to the big city. Their cakes are all amazing, but the chocolate banana cake is the one I dream about. It's so delicious I even carried one with me back out to the village for my Nepali family to try. This place... More

Independently run, spooky , weird , dark little cake and coffee shop. Once you get used to the interior, the locals are friendly and chatty and the cakes are quite simply divine. Those who like their Starbucks will hate Snowman. Those who hate Starbucks will adore Snowman. My favourite afternoon hangout in all KTM.

Some of the best cakes I've ever had, definitely try the chocolate love. The atmosphere is a bit dark, but it makes for a surreal Casino Royale kind of scene.

The most amazing pies and cakes! The coconut cake is to die for! While it's a bit for the younger crowd, it's still worth a visit. Even ordered two pies for a recent Thanksgiving get-together that everyone went crazy over. Much better than the over priced selection at the Radisson bakery in my opinion. Just wished they delivered!

Apparently this place was big back in the hippy heyday of Kathmandu. Now it's just as good for the munchies. I stumbled across it by accident and if you're not looking for it its easy to miss. Quite a large selection of cakes. I'd recommend the banana chocolate cake or the apple crumble but on a good day you can... More

Walking past the pitch-black cafe with the strong stench of cigarettes, it's not the typical place I'd think of stepping inside, much less eating at. Nonetheless I took a chance, and for only 80 rupees the chocolate cake was quite good. Snowman makes for a unique experience after you've spent some time wandering around Durbar Square.

When I arrived there it's a really tiny cafe, dark and full of super strong smell of cigarette inside, I even can't breath and stay one second. But I took a long walk to arrive there so I made decision to take a cake away. Nice boss and chocolate brownie (but it's not the best chocolate of this world....I saw... More
