Maybe this restaurant can be a cheap restaurant for foreigners who don't know Nepali price and good quality foods. But frankly speaking, it's over-priced and over-valued restaurant. You can find good quality food and cheap price restaurants in none-tourist area, especially Patan(Lalitpur) or old cities of Kathmandu, not in Thamel.

Perfect if you want to grab something to eat at any time of the day. Tasty local food (and some continential options too- we had good burger too). Good service, great prices. If you are staying in Thamel, you must visit.

I had the vege momo soup, which was very affordably priced at only 130np. The soup came with other vegetables too (cauliflower, carrots etc) and the momo's were stuffed pretty full with crunchy carrots, radish, cabbage. The soup tasted a bit like it was made out of an instant soup mix, which was a pity. I asked for spicy sauce... More

I often go to this restaurant when I am in Thamel for shopping. This is simple basic restaurant but serve great momo. I love the Kothey with momo soup.

No wifi, no pretense, no fuss. Friendly place, limited seating with high turnover, run by young people with a wide local menu. Indian, Nepali, some Chinese food too. Great to eat on a low budget (I mean lowwwwww), to be amongst a mix of Chinese, Tibetans, wicked travelers, and Nepalis, and to feel satisfied as you walk out the door.... More

After a few trips to Kathmandu, this small local cafe is my favourite place for either lunch or dinner in Thamel. The menu is quite extensive and very reasonably priced, you're bound to find something you'd like to try. My favourites are the spring rolls, vegetable pakodas, and the steamed momos. I always ask for the spicy achar as a... More

When it comes to tasting Mo:mo, you can not miss Momo star located in Thamel. Their service cannot be compared to the places with 13% VAT and 10% service TAX. Hygienic place, friendly people and really reasonable price. Momo Star for momo lover whether you are tourist or local, highly recommended.

Went here based on the ratings and was disappointed. The food was typical Nepali, the service average, the ambiance non existent, a hole in the wall. Portions were generous, and the food clean and edible, but not special. Eat here for good value, and a quick lunch. but not if you are looking for unusual momo dumplings. The name is... More

I honestly do not understand how people could review a such restaurant with passion, i trusted the reviews and tripadvisor and had such spicy momo, with or without source, momo is NEVER supposed to be spicy, it tasted nothing but spicy, and very small, its a momo country, with all the restaurant serving momo here, how do they put such...
