As vegetarians I have to say the menu was a bit limited, but duh, it's a seafood restaurant so I can't really critique them on that. We were extremely jet lagged and ended up coming here at 1am for dinner, they were bright and happy to see us and surprisingly busy. Very kind servers, huge menu and friendly atmosphere. Besides... My favourite bar in Luang Prabang. Lovely atmosphere created by the lighting and log fire. A great find.

Very popular among middle and upper middle class including Thai & Chinese business men.Open in the evening only. Specialized for boiled rice and varieties of dishes to go along with boiled rice, e.g. stir fry vegetables, vegetable stew, minced pork stir fry with Chinese olive, all kinds of seafood. Good taste. No parking space- have to park on the street,... More

This is a place where locals go for Thai - Chinese style dishes served with khao tom (rice-soup). With excellent reputation for more than 30 years, what makes this place even more remarkable is the fact that it actually is a seafood restaurant. This is where you can have your main dishes accompanied by khao tom (white or brown rice),... More

Open from 4pm to 4am, this place was heaving at 7pm on a Sunday night. You might have to wait a few minutes for a table but its not a place that people linger at. The crispy deep fried (tempura) morning glory sitting on a spicy pork and prawn salad was excellent, as was the scallops served on their shell... More

All the comments on tripadvisor are true, the owners are so nice, they really take the time to talk with you, even if there are a lot of people. The food was really good!!

This is very popular among local Thai with specialty menu suitable for Thai porridge and acceptable seafood. For me, I always come here for porridge menu rather than their seafood. Any Asian visitors from chopstick using countries will enjoy their food here. Very crowded at night.

This is a real Bangkok Chinese dining experience. Seafood is fresh and plentiful. The prices are reasonable and the service is ok. If you do not have a sweet tooth, you might find that they season with a bit too much sugar. If you tell them they will cut down on the sugar.

Staying in Ari

Neighbourhood Profile
Home to at least a dozen hip coffee shops, sophisticated boutiques and some seriously fine restaurants, Ari is the newest epicentre of Bangkok cool. Fleeing from the skyrocketing rents in Thonglor and Ekamai, many young urbanites made Ari their new home. This mostly residential neighbourhood outside the city centre isn't much of a trendy area on first sight, but if you scratch the surface of government buildings and noodle shops, you'll find out that there's loads of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Bring a local friend or do your research on beforehand to avoid missing out on all the fun.
