World class buffet , beautifully presented , comfortable with excellent service , such a relief after eating at a lot of other so called top notch restaurants . Worth a visit for the excellent seafood section alone , but complimented with other great western and desert section . Meal was not rushed and lasted a good 2 hours of enjoyment... More

Lord jims located in the Oriental hotel Elegant fine dining restaurant worth a trip. Lovely comfortable seating, non intrusive service, you will see a lot of high so Thai people and business people. Not recommended for value hunters but great place to splurge occasionally

maybe more of a 3.75/5. Had only one sunday brunch in bangkok and choose this one. I read while it has lower variety, the quality is much higher. I found most of the food to be decent, but the thai style foods were much toned down from what you get outside hotels though ( i guess that is expected). I... More

Recently my partner and I ate at Lord Jim's, with a name like that who could go wrong? The food we paid a premium for which was expected but were sorely disappointed with the service, which we would have thought for the price would have been second to none. The food was ok, I would recommend this for business dining.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel lobby we were made to feel welcome. We had the buffet lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The staff are obviously very well trained and very friendly. The food was of a good quality and the desert station had a good variety. A little shocked when the bill arrived and was charged 600... More

We went to the Saturday brunch and learned that the menu was not quite the same as the Sunday one (which charged a bit higher price) and there was no oyster (a bit of disappointment) to us. The restaurant was smaller than the other MO brunch properties in Thailand and therefore it was a bit crowded. Food quality was of... More

This is the second time we've been to Lord Jim's for buffet lunch and it's excellent on both occasions. There are many types of food and they are all of very high quality. Very fresh sashimi, foie gras, bugs, prawns, roast beef, tempura, freshly made salad..... The dessert is also amazing, such a variety with heaps of local treats. The... More

We went to Lord Jims 3 days ago for the lunch time buffet and it was delicious. It's not cheap but worth every penny if you would like to do the extremes of Bangkok ( we ate off the street stalls the night before then Lord Jims and a sky bar the next day and night. I would recommend having... More

This is one of the buffet lunches that I consider well worth the money. The variety and the quality of food are commendable. The service is also very good - staff is friendly and always seems to know what we wanted without having to say it out loud. Will definitely come back.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
