After one has had enough of the Patpong 'Hell' this restaurant is the perfect place to go. It's located only five minutes away from the main Patpong market and is a true sanctuary after you've been mangled by all the vendors and the obscure guys who constantly offer you massages and ping pong shows etc. The atmosphere is relaxed with... How have I missed this culinary jewel in the past 20 years? Amazing food - check! Good value price point - check! Central location - check. Just a couple of blocks from Patpong is this amazing restaurant set in a lovely house, with beautiful accents and homey touches. Part of the Coca Group, it offers a wide array of amazing... More

I ate the best green curry I've had so far! A bit expensive but it was worth of it. The atmosphere was also great 😊

Very nice food with reasonable price, easy to go, one of the staff can speak Mandarin. Quite surprising!

Went here knowing that it was going to be a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area. If you get a quality meal with quality service and is a nice restaurant. Probably the best green curry we had in Bangkok, and the service staff are great.

Been to Mango Tree Surawong a few times through the years, the food are generally consistently well done and tasty, in fact overall much better quality than some of the other branches in other shopping malls, though the curry crabs are somewhat overpriced compared to the rest of the items on the menu. The services are somewhat uneven and depends... More

There are several branches of Mango Tree (no pun intended) and I ate at the one located on 4th or 5th floor of Zen Central / Isetan complex. Fast and friendly service - very good imported beef and local vegetables served on a sizzling iron platter. A glass or two of red wine - good lunch

Went here for dinner but only had a few dishes. Tried the Chicken Green curry which was really very good. It had the right balance of spices and sweetness making it one of the best Thai Green curries we had on our trip. We also go the vegetarian pad thai which was very good as well. Was a bit sweet... I was recommended this restaurant when buying a suit in the area and how grateful I was for that recommendation when I first ate there! Hands down the best Thai food I've had in Bangkok. The portions and both extremely tasty and generous and on a number of occasions in the evenings the restaurant also has authentic live traditional Thai... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
