Great restaurant for a Sunday Brunch with the family. It is nice to enjoy the views of Chao Praya River here meanwhile appreciating a variety of different food options in their buffet.

This place is truly special. Great ambiance and very relaxing. We had gone there as a family to celebrate a 1 year olds birthday and the staff made the evening special for us. They are very polite and helpful. The food is really good here. You do pay what you get for. The meat portions were generous to Thai standards... More

We enjoyed the brief water taxi ride to the Mandarin Oriental and selected Verandah for dinner. The seared tuna was delicious, the night breezes were gently warm after an oppressively hot day. Verandah provided the perfect dinner amid such stunning views riverside. We would definitely return!

We had had dinner here a few times during many different stays in Bangkok before.I always appreciated the gorgeous view on the Chao Phraya River and the Peninsula Hotel from here. When we had dinner here in January, we found that the place had lost it's typical and very special Oriental Hotel flair...the food was ok,but not outstanding, the service was... Amazing buffet at The Verandah at Mandarin Oriental. The hotel as well as all it's restaurants are superb. Loved the spread of the buffet, especially the dessert collection. Romantic and soothing view of the river.

We wanted to eat this evening at the Veranda. First they were not really delighted about this idea. We got then a dirty table near the barbecue site (a lot of smoke). We had to ask the waiter for cleaning. Then the waiter (i think he was one of the chiefs) asked for the drinks. I ordered a beer, my... More

We went to the Verandah for afternoon tea and cakes and it was such a lovely experience. Well worth a visit, it was a lovely break before we headed back to experiencing the city. Value for money as well, you get your money's worth.

We had a lovely family dinner tonight. Satay was a lovely starter for everybody. The chef salad with balsamic dressing was yummy. My son had wagyu and foie gras burger and he loved it, the steamed fish was great and the mango with sticky rice perfect.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
