When I shopping at EmQuantier, we check Trip advisor to get some local Thai food nearby. This shop is not located at the mall, but just 5 minutes walk from the side entrance of the supermarket. Don't follow google map which make me turn around. We order tom yum soup, stir fried morning glory and shrimp Paste crispy catfish. I... More

My wife and I were the first two customers to arrive for dinner at 5.30pm. We went through the picture menu. Although we were familiar with it from previous visits, it was still daunting to choose something as most items look and taste good. We settled on 3 dishes, ie. prawns in yellow curry sauce, chicken wings fried in fish... More

Really enjoyed my meal here. Spring rolls were delicious, and the curry dish I had was equally as good. Service was lovely, and happily recommended me a dish as I wasn't sure what to get.

We had a really wonderful meal here last night. My friends who live in Bangkok did the ordering and every dish was perfect. The stir fried Thai morning glory was garlicky and silky and like a fine pasta. I also really loved the deep fried fish which was like a Miang Kham and we wrapped it in leaves to eat.... More

They have both north and south style Thai food. It is always very tasty and you can have it as spicy as you like. I do enjoy their pomelo salad. Fish curry is also very delicious. They have good juices and other drinks.

Cozy small place. Very tasty food, the best Khao Soi in town. Many delicious dishes to select from. Generally busy during lunch time. Will continue to go back.

I did a lot of research and planning before coming to Bangkok but never happened upon Gedhawa. I learned about it while in Bangkok and decided to go. I am so glad we did. It was by far our best meal. It was a close walk from one of the malls (wish I could remember which one) upon a little... More

Tucked away in the narrow Sukhumvit Soi 35, the small restaurant is charming. Lanna appetizer set is normally a good choice to try variety of northern cuisine offerings. Sausage was y but the three types of chili paste are decent. Deep fried stuffed bamboo shoot is different than the Laotian version where this version exposed the stuffing. The bamboo shoot... More

Gedhawa Restaurant is situated down the narrow Sukhumvit Soi 35 Alley which extends from Sukhumvit Rd just before The EmQuartier. The lane can be a bit congested and at busy times it may be best to walk the 350 m from Sukhumvit Rd. The restaurant is small inside with fairly closely spaced tables and was quite busy when we dined... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
