While I accept that when in Thailand eat Thai food but if you are in the mood for some seriously good Roast duck look no-further than Prachak. The place itself is hard-core - I doubt there's been a lick of paint or any upgrades for decades. The narrow entry is instantly recognisable with a plethora of dead ducks hanging in... More

If you love duck then you'll have to check this place out. I used to live in the neighborhood and would go a few times a month. Apparently it's been there for over a century. There's a reason for that :).

Went here with my wife and our Thai friend. We arrived at 7:45 PM. They were out of all of the specialties like duck feet, duck tongue, duck cheeks, and duck neck. They were also out of the Fish Maw with fried noodles. Got some pork belly and their appetizer sampler platter. Good but not great.from what I've been told... More

And cheap and yummy roasted duck, pork and meats over rice. Easy to find, walking distance from Saphin Taksin BTS- local crowd. Really nice Area, across from a Robinson's. I think I was the only non - Thai person there. 100 year old restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a rather small, unimposing place, and it was quite crowded when we were there. Their specialty is duck, which was delicious and the service was very good. Great place for cheap eats.

Located only a short walk from Saphan Taksin BTS.Popped in because of the hanging ducks (of which I am a huge fan) and was impressed by the quality of the food and the low price. Its a family run place since 1909 and has only a few tables, so you have to share with somebody else(they do take away as... More

So tasty and so cheap. You need to look quite hard to find the tiny shop front, but the hanging ducks in the window will be a clue

Went with my wife. It's opposite Robinson . Walking distance. Crispy pork is my favorite. Duck for me is normal. Area is small and must share table. Price is not expensive. They have English menu! No worries. Must try if you are nearby! Along that stretch also got other good option. The congee shop also worth to queue. It's just... More

If you love roasted duck dishes, do not miss this restaurant established just over a hundred year old. They have variety of single-dish menu ex. roasted duck noodles, roasted duck rice, wonton noodles, etc. but the best to go are any dishes with roasted duck! Good thing about this restaurant is that the average price for each dish is around... More

Since I love roasted duck, I made it a point to come here during my Bangkok trip... disembarked at Saphan Taksin BTS station and walked for a good 10 minutes to reach this shop along the busy Charoen Krung Road.. located opposite Robinson's departmental store, it's known as Prachak Pet Yang. Roasted duck is good.. but it's gravy type (unlike... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
