This is a small restaurant with a small bar. It provides mainly Thai food, but also has a selection of pizzas on the menu. The menu has a very big choice of Thai food -all very good and served quickly. The Canadian owner is friendly and does provide useful advice on selection from the menu. Dishes can be made very... Stumbled upon this restaraunt after walking around all day. Just happened to go in and was delighted to find that the owner spoke English and he was from Toronto. He gave us some sound advice for travelling as well as great drinks and amazing Thai food! Thank you for your help!

This is one of those places that you discover by mistake (unless you're a trip advisor regular) and then never want to go to another place ever again. It's a small place - probably seats about 25-30 people at best but has really quick turnover (fantastic service!!) so you typically get a table in 5-10 minutes max. The food is... More

Do NOT come here if you want a quiet meal. Do come here if you like to hear a loud foul mouthed English speaking guy abusing the staff and yelling things like "just shut up, I've told you before", "why are you letting them inside when we aren't ready", "why did you do that / why haven't you done this"... Dear writer. Please accept my sincere apologies for ruining your evening. New Years Eve and the few days before and after are the most difficult times to be in the hospitality trade. Although we expected to be busy and tried our best to be ready for a much larger than usual demand, nothing could have prepared us for the onslaught... More

Wondered in with the family by accident on New year's Eve looking for local food - such a great place! Great food, super friendly service, creative cocktails! Trust me, you'll love it! Recommend the Chillitini and the Spicy Moscow Mule. And also everything!

Whilst from the outside this restaurant is unassuming, the queue for tables was a bit of a giveaway that this is a restaurant worth the wait. The menu offers the gamut of standard Thai dishes, and those we tried were executed very well. Fried Prawn Balls, Larb Gai (minced chicken with basil) and a seafood stir fry with chilli &... More

The barman (I assume the owner) is a micromanager; don't they know micromanaging is counterproductive? The entire time I sat he wouldn't let up…"speak English, do this, I shouldn't have to tell you, etc." just on and on harping. Yet, the most interesting thing is he never said one word to me. I sat next to a large party of... More

Thanks very much for your review. Allow me to recap so future readers can reap the full benefit of your comments and observations. So it is the absolute busiest night of 2016 (thus far) as we head toward New Years eve, and our humble little restaurant with 22 seats inside is completely full and people are lined up outside 10-12... Was staying in Bangkok for a few days and ate here twice. As a vegetarian you have to get used to finding the occassional tiny prawn hiding in the bottom of your vegetarian meal. The Oasis Lounge is professionally run, warm and welcoming, and very quick to serve food. They have a vegetarian section in their menu with veggie takes... More

You have to try this place! My wife and I had dinner here twice and love both meals. Very good food and very good prices! The owner also gave us great advice on what to see and how to use the river boat for 150 baht with an all day ticket.

Thank WVGaller

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
