Good Aspects + I was desperate to have Nepalese food and I was pretty satisfied with the quality of food. + I had Chicken Momo and Nepali Thali which were good enough + Staff were friendly + Nepalese atmosphere Negative Aspects - Struggled to find the place. - Staff understand Thai only. - Bit of expensive - Taste often matches... We read the reviews for this restaurant and was excited to go eat Nepali food since we'd been away from home for a week. The place is hard to locate. The owner himself was very kind and greeted us in. The ambience looked excellent. However, all the good things ended right there. We ordered duck choeyla, mutton and chicken momo... More

I was searching for new restaurant to have food, I reached Hotel Himalaya at Suhkumvit Soi 31. Ambiance is matching to name Himalaya that I felt that I am somewhere in Himalaya. Nice welcome by staff and food was served in time. Taste was good and enjoyed lunch there

The hotel is spacious and quite good . The hotel staffs are very friendly. There's not much night life around this place . It gets quiet around 7:30 pm in the evening. But there are lots of places to hangout in couple of hundred meters. Dumplings called Mo:Mo are available here . Don't forget to try. The hotel owner is... More

This place has good service and good Nepali and Indian food. My fav is jhol MoMo. The ginger powder smell is sometime thick but can be asked to adjust it. The regular mutton sekuwa is also good. Lassi was not upto my expectation. Daal, bhaat and tarkari in Thakali try it once for yourself.

Honest review folks!! I am from Nepal and this place is by far the worst Nepalese restaurant I have ever come across my dining life! Why terrible? We ordered momo, too much flour and was tasteless (PS: even worst momo are suppose to taste good not this one) We ordered butter chicken and it did not taste like butter chicken... More

I understand this is a Nepalese restaurant, but the food was beyond terrible. If you ever went to an Indian restaurant before don't order dish that sounds Indian. The butter chicken was dry and didn't look or taste like the Indian butter chicken. The dal fry was tasteless. The naan wasn't a naan. It was more like a cheap roti... More

Despite being able to great exposure to world class eateries in its class, Nepali restaurants tend to be mediocre. Especially in terms of hygiene, presentation and service. Good only if you are homesick and want to eat Nepali food. Took guests to give them exposure to our food, bit disappointed.

I ordered butter chicken and this is what I received? I tried to get a refund and they told me I was wrong and this is their butter chicken. I've ordered this dish countless times, so I understand the taste and appearance of butter chicken. Regardless, whatever curry I did receive was awful. Very dry and not appetizing at all.... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
